Lou's deli is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST NY DELI in western CT. I have lived in the area for most of my life and have been to almost every other deli around the area. Some are good but don't come close to match the quality, quantity & price. Sign #1 that you're in the right place: SOPPRESETTA hanging next to the cheeses. If you want a TRUE OVER FLOWING ITALIAN COMBO on an Arthur Avenue seeded wedge, FORGET ABOUT IT! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! Sausage & peppers parm, FORGET ABOUT IT, INSANE! So many HOME COOKED dishes everyday along with his standard menu and anything made to order as you want. I WISH I knew out about this spot 4 years ago since they've been there but only just found them a few months ago and plan on supporting them as much as I can. Lou is very friendly along with Joe & Milsa whom I've gotten acquainted with in my journey to try everything there!!

We have ordered here a few times for work events and it is always amazing. Walking in, you get a feel of a Bronx deli. There are a few tables inside or you can take it to go. This time I got a Chicken Parm Wedge. I’m pretty sure they get the bread from the Bronx because it doesn’t taste like the typical Connecticut bread. Really delicious sauce and chicken. Will continue to return here and suggest you stop in if you haven’t. Five stars!

Found this gem while looking up new restaurants to try in Danbury. Tucked away in a shopping mall I frequently visit is Lou's deli. Walked in for lunch and ordered a mill plain on a Kaiser roll. Sandwich was prepared fresh and in less than five minutes. Quality ingredients, fast service, great price, happy customer. Will come back for lunch again.

Fast service, great sandwiches, good prices.

Edit: still the best sandwich shop. Great cold cuts. Great salads. Great prices. Great people.

Edit v2: Google demands I re-review Lou's. All I can say is that very rarely more than a week goes by that my family I don't pay them a visit for excellent food, family friendly service and still great prices. I've never been to a better deli.

Edit v3: 3x champion. Eating it now.

Eidt v5: now my son who was a baby when I started going here asks to go here all the time for meatballs. He's got good taste.

Edit v6: guess what? Still the best!

Very friendly, Lou has the best chicken cutlets I have ever had (Sorry mom.) Authentic Italian food . I have never had a bad dish or sandwich from here. Catered for us many times. I recommend The Pasta, chicken, and broccoli with the garlic and oil. It is absolutely perfect, and so is the chicken parm. There is to much to list that are delicious, but you get the point. Oh and the salads are amazing too. Be prepared to be overwhelmed on what to choose when you walk in. Lou's 2 for 20 deal cant be beat. Especially when you dont want to cook.
