This new restaurant is located in a nice area of downtown Danbury. It is nicely decorated, clean and very spacious. Having said that, the ambiance was terrible. At 6:30 PM with just four customers there, the music was overwhelmingly loud. It was almost impossible to have a conversation. This volume would have been OK if there was dancing or a party going on but there wasn't. We politely asked them to please lower the volume, which prompted them to lower it for a minute or so and then they increased it every more. One of the servers told us that the owner refused to lower the volume. The best part of our meal were the classic mojitos. The food was OK. Just OK. The service was acceptable. They never asked us if we wanted to see the dessert menu or order coffee. This place was not hospitable or welcoming.

I randomly chose this place as a halfway point for a lunch date with a family member. I couldn’t find street parking, so I paid to park in a municipal lot on the road behind the restaurant. When we walked through the doors my attention was instantly caught by the bright decor, including the recently fashionable neon signs. It’s a medium size restaurant, and there was plenty of seating. The menu was given to us on iPads, and we placed our orders with the waitress (non-English speaking if that’s a problem for some). The arepas were absolutely delicious. The guacamole tasted like it had been made fresh. The juices were rich and tasty. The rice pudding really was the cherry on top. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.

Not all Colombia restaurants have that unique flavor. Street parking, wheelchair accessibility, and extremely colorful, with beautiful popart. This spacious, authentic Colombia restaurant/bar is perfect for a large gathering, with delight bilingual staff. All dishes come in medium to small portions, menus are digital and easy to review. It is a little pricing for small portions of good meals. And for my understanding, Fridays, they have performer ( Karaoke), and weekends do get pack.

1st the atmosphere: my friend and i walk in and are instantly delighted! The decor is amazing, the colors and lights were very inviting. I wish the restaurant was kept just a smidge warmer considering the weather at the time we visited but hot food can fix that.

Ordered cafe con leche as soon as they opened- so it should be fresh right? It was either burnt or old, i got 2 sips in before i pushed it away. I think our server was new bc he was inexperienced and he had to be flagged down more than once. I asked my friend to order a fresh juice(delicious and served in a fun glass but the straw is shorter than it so you have to reach your fingers in the juice to get it!) For me instead while i went and put more quarters in the parking meter because a good amount of time passed by then. And was still charged for the coffee. I told the server at the end i ordered the juice to replace the coffee and he changed it for me.

After ordering we waited maybe 20 minutes alone before we got our food. We were the only people there. I ordered the crunchy arepas with shrimp. The cheese was melted but the food was cold so i think someone got distracted along the way... my friend's meal came with a small dish of beans and they were cold as well.

Dont get me wrong the food was delicious- just... too cold to truly be enjoyable. And i was excited for a hot cup of coffee only to be disappointed. The portion to price ratio was a little... skewed in my opinion, as well.

A single arepa/quac/shrimp sandwich cut into 4s and decorated nicely(also was cold) was about 17$. The fried yuca was about 5 and change with a small portion(but very filling. And cold.) The only thing that seemed worth the value was the juice. My bill for 3 items was almost 40 not including tip.

Also there was no tp in...

I’ve given this place so many chances, due to having that colombian loyalty. Yet, each time they fail me. The first time i came in they had just opened, i came in with my daughter and mother famished and excited to try out the only colombian restaurant in Danbury. The manager was super nice and she’s the only reason i decided to give this place a few chances. The first time they served my daughter RAW FOOD!! Raw chicken fingers i couldn’t believe it , she apologized and said the chef was out and that they would try again, once again the chicken fingers came out fried outside and raw on the inside and this point i was annoyed and told her to forget it how dare they serve this and to a CHILD!. I ordered an arepa with carne desmechada [ shredded beef] the food was horrible ! The ingredients weren’t all there and the arepa was RAW again! Not to add the beef was not the right type it tasted under cooked. My mother was nice enough to not call the city and complain since the manager was nice enough to go into the kitchen and actually cook the food herself. Overall the food sucked. We decided to give them another chance and order some pandebonos, to our surprise they were drenched in butter and not fluffy at all. Not sure if these reviews are real but i can see a lot of the positive ones are left by friends of the owner or manager. I really want them to succeed but the waiter staff is inattentive, and don’t even know the menu. The food I’ve had is just a disappointment to our culture. The place is nicely decorated and has potential but they really need to hire someone that knows what they are doing. Overall 2 stars since the manager tried her best and the place is nice other than that if you’re hungry don’t bother you’ll leave famished....

Tonight was Family night out, my wife and I had pass by this place multiple times in the pass and wanted to try this new place out! We walked in the restaurant and I most say the Colombian theme was gorgeous nothing like it in the Danbury area. At this point I'm ready to try the drinks and food. Our waitress was a talk skiny young women in which unfortunually I did not get her name. As we order our drinks we waited way too long as we were the only table beside one other couple that were watching a soccer game and a few people sitting at the bar also watching the game. As we waited we also order appeticer "enpanaditas" they were good I have to say. After we were done we had order a bandeja paisa and I most say I was surprise by the rice that was not cooked, the beans had no flavor and the chicharron was not crispy. The drinks were pricentable but way too strong. As i finish my food, the other half of the food that we had order fries and tender was no where to be found. But that was not the wrost part when they finally came out the tender was over cooked and the fries were dry. Honestly we told the waitress and her response was not the most appelling, it seems like she has very little to non experience as a waitress. I hope management can make some changes for the best of business. Also they prioritize the soccer game instead of putting some music that would make you enjoy at least the strong drinks I did not want to here a soccer narrator in the background. You have a great place with...
