We went to Chuck's for breakfast. We were sat in the same area as all other tables already there. Weren't asked for drinks until about 10-15 minutes later. While getting our drink order, we also asked for water. We got our drinks 10 minutes later (only 3 other tables in the restaurant, in the same section), but no water. Asked again, still nothing. Then a busser passed by and we asked him for water, which took no more than 2 minutes to get. Once we had our food (served by the busser) our server did not come by and ask if we needed anything else. Again, we had to get hot sauce by asking the busser. Not even a minute to wait for it. About 15 minutes later our server comes by and asks me if I wanted jelly for my toast, that was pretty cold by that point. I said no and she asked if we needed anything else. We enjoyed our food, no issues. While I am still eating, since I fed my toddler first, the server came by with the check. I AM LITERALLY STILL EATING. We weren't looking around for her to come bring us the bill nor requested it. There was no line at the door for new customers waiting, still the same 4 tables total. Then not even 10 minutes go by and she stands there waiting for us to pull out our payment for the bill. Luckily I stayed composed. We gave her the payment, and she stands there waiting for the option of which tip amount we're choosing. I have worked as a server before, I was completely disgusted with her actions. Luckily I don't come here often, and probably won't be coming IN to eat here again. You can't service us, but can't wait for your tip. Thank you so much for a...
Read moreAt the referral of a co-worker, I stopped in to pick up some bbq. I donât live in this area. I live in the south suburbs so I believe this food is catered to the âdemographicâ thatâs local to this region. I ordered the half-slab ribs and catfish meal with macaroni & cheese and spicy green beans. I knew I was in trouble when I asked if the potato salad was mayo based or mustard base & the young lady said âno, itâs vinegar basedâ. Laawd hammercy, vinegary potato salad! The people that checked me out were kind and the place looked like a nice little vibe on the inside. I checked my food in the car & saw that my catfish was missing. I went back into the establishment to let them know & the runner came back out and said âmaâam, itâs under the ribsâ. I asked, âwhat? Yaâll put fresh fried catfish underneath a slab of ribs with bbq sauce all on them?â Well, I left out and decided to try a forkful of Mac & cheese in the car as I made my way down the road. The Mac& cheese had soap bubbles on top of it & it looked like a flavorless stovetop version anyway instead of a baked macaroni & cheese. The catfish tasted like water and the batter had no season to it ( this is not Cajun/creole style) & the ribs were flavorless. I didnât taste a lick or smoke on the meat. They were tender nonetheless. The green beans also had no seasoning to them. Everything was bland! For my down home people that are looking to get a soul food/cajun style vibe, this isnât it. This isnât catered to our palette. Beautiful looking establishment aesthetic...
Read moreVery disappointed I order the brisket dinner and I got 5 small pieces of brisket and cold fries for 15 dollars lol I've had better and got more for less at other bbq place, and the brisket is ice cold. So my last rating was a week ago and I went back and tryed it again got the brisket sandwich backed beans and cornbread muffin but this time I decided to get it take put was definitely better then having it delivered my food was warm this time not hot but definitely not as cold as it was. Only bad this I have to say is the sauce is a lil strange tasting but it's been a much better experience this time around. So for the 3rd time I've now had this particular chuck and not bad not as good as when I picked it up my self I had delivery this time and pulled pork sandwich tho it tasted great besides there funky bbq sauce it wasnt all that warm warm but not hot like I'd expect being less then 5 mins away. I'd have to say there cornbread muffin and there pulled pork are always more of the savior since your main oncor is never all that warm. And there fries will always be cold af by the time they get to you if you more then 3 or 5 mins away dont expect hot fries what so ever. But all in all over the cores of ordering 3 times from here I cant say anything horrible but I cant really praise them. I'm sure its alot different if you actually dine in I'm sure your food should be hot and ready. I wish they would put some money into having hot bag as most pizza place do and I've never had a cold pizza from...
