I went there one time and wasn't very impressed. I got a double cheeseburger combo with cheese curds and Hawaiian shake. I told them twice (had to repeat my order twice) I did not want the nuts or coconut on my shake and was told that is fine. The order was repeated back to me without nuts and coconut. I waited close to 15 minutes for my food. The burger and cheese curds came out after about 7 minutes and had to wait another 5-7 minutes just for the shake. I drove home and tried the shake and immediately got a straw full of nuts (I attached a picture of them all). The whole bottom was filled with them. Fortunately they got it half right and didn't put the coconut in it. The burger made a very loud juicy squish sound as I bite into it. I was not impressed with the flavor nor the amount of grease (I'm a fan of a greasy burger but this was excessive). The highlight of everything was the cheese curds which I would buy again. The service I received was poor (the cashier wasn't friendly, food was average if not below average). This is brand new to the QC and a lot of friends/family said the food was great so I expected quite a bit better. I don't plan on going back. I thought it'd be like Culvers/Steak and Shake but maybe a little better. Culvers customer service and food trumps Freddys all the way around so that's who I will continue to buy from when I want a good steak burger. It's no wonder we can't keep new restaurants in the QC. When their service is below par people quit coming, quit profiting and have to close. I foresee this company doing the same if things...
Read moreThis place recently opened up and my family decided to try it out. Reminds me of a steak and shake if it had a baby with culvers. Thin steakburgers, a large serving of very thin French fries, a surprising variety in their sundae menu, and some of the best cheese curds I've ever had (think they're battering them with the same batter as funnel cake)
They have a fry sauce here that's very reminiscent of big mac sauce. They have it in a dispenser with cups available for take out or to add to your burger for no additional cost. I enjoyed it
I had a patty melt and made use of the outside seating. They use those round tables with the benches connected to them. Cannot recommend if you have a group larger than 4. Also the outside music will be interrupted frequently by the intercom announcing orders, so no one outside has to worry about not knowing when their food is ready.
After dinner I got a mini sundae (mini just means one scoop of ice cream, it's plenty if you just filled up on the basket of fries they give you with a meal) with salted caramel and a brownie. The salted caramel has exactly the right amount of salt, it's glorious, and the brownie can be described in 3 words. Soft, moist, and dense. The perfect trifecta.
I'm definitely coming back to try their limited time funnel cake sundae, and I'll probably get more of those cheese curds...
Read moreWe stopped on a whim 90 minutes before closing and we'll definitely be going back. The food was very good, the restaurant clean and the staff very prompt and polite. The burgers are fairly thin and cooked well done, some areas of the burger were almost crispy, but not over cooked in any way though and very good, and the condiments compliment the burger, not to much or to little. The pickles they use are flavorful but not overbearing. The French fries were very thin and mostly crispy, referred to as shoe string I believe. They were good. You can season the fries or not, the seasoning is on counter where you pick up your order. There is also two types of dipping sauce as well as ketchup. One is jalapeno flavored, with a slight kick, the other is their signature sauce. Both were good. I also ordered a regular size sundae that was spilt between two people, which after we each ate our meals, was more than big enough to share. When I placed the order, I was asked if I'd like to ' hold' the sundae order until we were done eating, I chose to do so and when I went back up, they remembered what I had ordered, made it and then brought it our table after they made it. The decor is retro, chrome, or stainless, vinyl and laminate, like an old...
