The service and atmosphere were good. However the food was not as appealing to us, flavor-wise. Friend One and I, ordered Banana and Walnut pancakes & a side of Home Fries. I asked our server if the walnuts were mixed inside or if I could just have banana pancakes without the nuts. I was told "the nuts are on top." I next asked about the home fries, and was told they were "chopped up and seasoned." So I ordered them. The pancakes were more walnut than banana; there were more banana slices on top for decoration, than inside the pancakes, which was disappointing. The home fries were not good and doesn't resemble any home fries dish, if you've eaten them before or if you googled it. They weren't "chopped up"; just a sliced, unimpressive potato. We paid nearly $30. I took my items home to try to eat them later, my friend didn't. Friend Two ordered Shrimp and Grits, Chicken Apple Sausage, and 2 eggs, paying nearly $40. She had a nice sized bowl of grits with 5 small shrimp on top. She asked our server, "Is this order correct? All I get are 5 small shrimp for 24 dollars!" Our server said, "Yes. That's how it comes." The menu describes the grits as "creamy"; she said: "they are kind of gritty. If they cooked them longer in more water they might be better. The gravy is not a good match, to me." She ate the shrimp and eggs. The sausage "could be more flavorful." She left what she couldn't finish on the table. Friend Three ordered Thanksgiving All Day. She immediately said, "This smells funny. Anyway, let me give it a try....Oh no..this is not good. The mashed potatoes and gravy are cold and need a lot of seasoning; the turkey is dry and lacks seasoning too. The only things that tastes good are the cranberry sauce and vegetables, which are seasoned!" She paid nearly $34 and took nothing home either. Friend Four ordered a Garden salad, paying $10 extra for 6 shrimp. She paid nearly $31. She said, "it's just okay, nothing to rave over. The greens tastes weird. I'm just eating the shrimp and leaving the salad." Friend Five ordered a Burger with Fries, playing it safe. She said, "It's alright. I've had better burgers and fries, but I'll eat it. I'm hungry." She paid nearly $28. She left about 3 bites of burger and a few fries. Friends Six and Seven ordered Meatloaf. They agreed, "it's just okay. The mashed potatoes could be warmer, and like the gravy, they need seasoning." They both took their food home, saying they would "season it and try to eat it." They paid nearly $29. I only have a photo of what I ordered.
We understand the prices are high because of the location/atmosphere/decor. But we just hoped the quality, tastes, and presentation of the food would have matched those prices. This was our first time eating here, and our last. We didn't enjoy it, but...
Read moreHORRIBLE! We had the worst server in the history of servers. The two managers were also negligent. We came with a party 15 and chose the restaurant because they were able to accommodate our large group at the last minute. The food was not good or hot when finally served to us. AVOID RENEE AT ALL COSTS. She was miserable and rude. We went with a large group and were assigned two servers. The other was super nice, but Renee was not pleasant and downright rude. We went to the front hostess stand and they sent management over to us and we told them about our situation and they said thank you for the feedback and they would fix it, however Renee still returned with the same attitude. She slammed things on our table and kept making sarcastic remarks. We went back and spoke to another manager and she said she would talk to Renee. She then came back to our table and asked if we would like to give Renee another chance or if we wanted another server. We said we would love to give Renee another chance if she would be more pleasant, but unfortunately, she was just as mean and unpleasant. Management really dropped the ball and made us feel like they didn't care about how we felt and that it didn't matter that we were experiencing horrible service. With an establishment like the Hard Rock, one would expect excellent service, especially from people who they know have come to gamble. The food was served cold. The steaks were overcooked and dry. The chicken tenders were super dry. You can see in the photos posted. There was not one dish ordered that was served to us warm or hot! Also strange was they split our bill in two betweeen the two servers and when we questioned it, they said that's how it's done there. We had to figure out and add up our own totals of the two separate checks even though we didn't ask for it to be done that way. They said with larger parties, they had to split it between two servers and two checks. Not sure the reasoning behind this, but it was inconvenient to say the least. The only great thing about our experience was the excellent hostesses who were caring and very warm and friendly. Please step your game...
Read moreWalk away if you see a line to get in!! We went at 6pm before an 8pm show. There was a line and it look busy but they sat us immediately. Since our waiter did not came immediately, another server took our drinks order. We order the pre-show prime rib special. It took some time for the drinks to arrive but we understood since the place looked busy and we had plenty of time before the show. But then we kept seen that tables that were sat after us were getting their food before us, so we asked our waiter and he just said that the kitchen was busy. We then asked a server who look like in management, Sebastian, what was going on. By this time it was already 7:45pm. He said he was going to check on it. He did nothing! More tables who were after kept getting their food! So, finally we were able to speak with Fritz Louverture, a manager, and he apologize and comp our meal. We appreciate the customer service ethics of Fritz. It was great but we had a show to go to, so thank you for the wonderful gesture but at the same time we were late for the show and still hungry! So, finally the food came at 8:10pm. Of course, the show already started by the time we finished eating and got there. If they are going to offer a dinner special before a show, AND THEY DO NOT DO RESERVATIONS, they need to plan...
