Potbelly — Restaurant in Davie

I was excited to try this new place since laspadas down the road has been slacking off recently. By how cool and new potbelly looks I thought for sure they would be a laspadas killer.

Looks can be deceiving, it's taste that really matters in a restaurant.

While the place is new and employees are learning I cannot fault the lady for not putting the hot peppers and hot pepper ranch in my sandwich, it is what it is, but what I did get was a greasy sub overflowing with the garlic aeoli I asked to be swapped out with the pepper ranch.

I got the highly recommended prime rib sub, which idk what kind of prime rib this is but it's flavorless and tastes like frozen artifical meat. Although the sub wasn't particularly bad, it also had nothing going for it that makes me want to come back for another one, perfectly mediocre.

I was also excited to try their pub pickle, the pickle was probably the fattest one I've ever seen which honestly didn't make me feel too hopeful, one bite filled me with disappointment, the skin was hard to bite through, it was tough and fitting the theme of the sub, flavorless and bland. Definitely top 5 worst pickles I've ever had, maybe even top 1.

So overall, very disappointing. Since they are new I will probably give them a few weeks to maybe get things together before I return to try again but honestly not looking...

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a beautiful and creatively designed space that makes it feel more like a chill neighborhood hangout spot then anything else.

The subs are top tier quality with fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted bread, and generous portions. I tried the Prime Rib Sandwich and WOW… it’s even better than everyone says. Juicy, flavorful, and just melts in your mouth. Seriously one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had….

The staff here are next level. Super friendly, welcoming, and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. You can tell they love what they do, and it really shows.

Also, the place is very clean. You can eat in peace knowing everything is clean and well-kept.
