Teabo Café — Restaurant in Davis

I love this local, independently owned shop. The drinks are delicious and the employees are super nice and helpful. I've recently become addicted to popping boba, and Teabo is one of a minority of local shops who offer them. Their fruit slushies with popping boba are soooo refreshing on a hot summer day! I also like their regular boba. It's never been too soft (mushy boba, blech!), and is just the right amount of honey sweet. Today however, I decided to try something different here. I'd never had their egg pudding before, and the guy working offered me a taste to help me decide. I ended up getting a regular black milk tea with egg pudding. Super yum! The cold, silky but firm pudding was perfect with their slightly fragrant tea. I may have found a new addiction! Parking is easy here, unlike downtown, and they have a great electronic stamp card system. I highly recommend checking this place out if you've never been. Note: Teabo uses real milk in their milk teas rather than the traditional non-dairy creamer used by most bubble tea shops. My favorite drinks here are the chocolate taro milk tea and honey green milk tea. The boba here is sweet and consistently good. They also have star jellies that remind me of the jewels Hamtaro the hamster used to treasure. Lots of customization options and different seasonal milk tea flavors to satisfy the boba lover. The ingredients aren't super fresh and usually powder, but the drinks are still tasty and they'll even remake it for you if you aren't satisfied.

The popcorn chicken here is some of the best I've had with good seasoning, herbs, and not too thick bread-skin. The orange chicken is also good. My only complaint about food is that the kitchen sometimes takes a while, expect a 10 minute minimum wait for any food.

I was delivering for doordash went to pick up. Checked in wait for 15 min, asked for the name and got ignored waited 15 more minutes till another employee came and he handed good food I told him thank you. Went their a second time and same thing this time I waited 30 min without asking for name a second time order was ready at the at the kitchen shelf. Every Dasher that came their got called she purposely didn't want to give mi e out. I apologized to the doordash costumer and cancelled the order bcuz she wasn't wanting to hand it to me after waiting for about thirty min. I never disrespeced juste asked for the order name. I'm justtrying to pay my bills should learn to treat everyone equal. Nothing against the store just that employee...
