I've just had enough with this location. And I'm especially done knowing that this location also went out of their way to deny me employment there and I have a decent amount of Starbucks experience and I left the company with eligibility to rehire and work no sweat. The third home environment experience has never been here except from a few star baristas who know who they are. They know me by name, they have asked about my life, we've connected. Those baristas are still near and dear to me. I've had two new baristas this week ignore me, roll their eyes at me, make me feel insignificant, ive had them mess my drink up and then make me feel so bad that I wanted my dollar tip back and more. I am so disappointed in whatever nonsense is going on. You guys want what you got, you have $20 an hour. Something I sure never got and worked really hard for while underpaid. And I still walk into this establishment to pay over $5 to get judged by college kids? Not the home away from home ever. Not inclusive. Not where I want to take my money any more but this time it's personal. This Starbucks was such a large impact on me that it formed part of my decision to re locate to a city entirely. I've always been a friendly neighborhood barista and coffee lover. I thought davis was for everyone. Guess not!
Edit and update! All Starbucks did was try to make me feel incompetent by saying I tried communicating on the wrong portal. I tried politely finding the right portal to put this information on. You make it impossible to get there without a link. Not fooling anyone. Enough is enough...
Read moreWe are on a road trip so we have stopped at many Starbucks on our 11 days journey so far. We always get the same drinks so we know if something is different about one. For some reason this last stop at this location made us both say “wow my latte is soooo good”. We only say that we go to small coffee shops. Never at Starbucks. Yesterday I got a latte with an extra shot and it wasn’t memorable like this regular latte. And then Leo at the drive through hands us a cup with such a sweet msg that means a lot to us since we are driving with a injured pet and driving is already more dangerous than flying so all good vibes are welcome. The had written msg said “Good luck with your thing today!!!” Cute! Also yesterday I stopped at one for egg bites and heard something about a kale egg bite that I did not see on the menu but didn’t get clarification from the barista so didn’t order. Today Leo explained it to us and I am so glad I tried it. So good! Anyway I just wanted to tell you you are doing...
Read moreA friend of mine works at Starbucks but at a different location. He told me he got written up for not writing a little note on the cup (and potentially a fireable offense if done multiple times). I've seen people write on the cup before and thought it was a by location thing. However, when I went to this one, I saw that EVERY cup had something written on it.
I do not like this practice. I feel it cheapens the message written on the cup. It also feels manufactured and forced rather than genuine (like how it used to be when baristas did it randomly out of their good will). I felt like I got a cheap Hallmark card from a company creepily telling me to "enjoy". I hope this changes. Otherwise I don't feel comfortable buying coffee...
