My family and ate at Ayala's Bar Grill for the first time a couple of months ago. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was not good. Ordered molcajete, asada fries and mojarra. The customer service was HORRIBLE! The service at this establishment is the reason why am leaving the review. My daughter and I both ordered "Agua de Limon con chia" or Lemonade with chia, the server brought it to the table and we tasted it but the drink was not what I had ordered. It was a cucumber drink. I asked the server if she could please bring us a different type of drink as that is not what I had ordered. (We did not drink the cucumber drink and returned the cup completely full). She took both our drinks and brought US our new drinks. We noticed she did not seem happy to do this but brought US our new drinks anyway. She also never came back to our table to ask if we needed anything or to refill our drinks, nothing. We ate our food and asked for our bill. Come to find out they left the cucumber drinks on our bill. When I was going to pay for our food brought it up to the same server as she was at the cash register. She said she couldn't remove the drinks but that she would get the manager (a woman/l did not get her name) she proceeded to tell us that its policy to charge us for the drinks and they cant remove them from the bill. I told her that is not what I ordered and showed her the menu to the restaurant that clearly states "Agua de Limon con Chia" LEMONADE WITH CHIA never in the description does it say cucumber. She said "I will do it only this time but next time I will not remove it from your bill, Also it has a cucumber GARNISH in the picture you should of known it had cucumber" I told her just because it has a GARNISH doesn't mean it will have that item insude the drink, the menu is supposed to look appealing to the consumer but the description on the menu should be changed so that future customers don't order lemonade and get cucumber water and then the establishment give them bad customer service because they are upset when the customer returns items they did not order due to a mistake on THEIR menu. Also, they did not mentioned any of this when I returned the drink, they waited until I was ready to pay to let me know...
Read moreWe will never be back to this place. They counted my 2 year old as a member of my party, which put us at 6. Then charged us a $16 tip because we were a party of 6 or more. On top of that we were charged for the tortillas that normally come with meals, which jacked up the price, and they didn’t tell us it was an extra, $2.75 each! Just asked if we wanted corn or flour tortillas…. Then charged us?! What the hell?!? THEN! They charged me $3.86 for using a damn card! The bill was around $84 and I ended up paying over $114. FOR MEDIOCRE MEXICAN FOOD! It’s all good though, I will NEVER eat here again and I will be sure to let EVERYONE I know to stay away. There are lots of other places to get mediocre Mexican food...
Read moreThe people taking our orders were nice but the food left VERY much to be expected. My fiance's taco salad looked like taco soup and didn't even look like it had beans in it. My enchilada looks like a fig newton and my bean burrito had just about the same amount of beans. You could drink the queso dip through a straw. And the child's chicken tender was smaller than a regular chicken tender. He only got two chicken tenders and one was the size of a chicken nugget. I do not recommend going here. Try the authentic ayalas or the El Toro. I have never rated a place bad before. And sadly this is the worst experience I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The people were nice but the food would have been better...
