Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Dayton

I don't enjoy posting negative reviews but for people like myself who check out the reviews for an establishment before visiting them, I believe it is the right thing to do. I recently got a carryout from the Far Hills Jimmy John's and it was absolutely delicious and literally perfect. We both were very satisfied with the sandwiches. We were out and decided to give the Brown Street store a visit and much to our surprise, it was literally like night and day, as compared to our first Jimmy John's experience. As I wes entering the store, a guy was hunkered in the doorway while putting out a black n mild or something. As I was looking at the menu board, the same guy announced that he would be taking my order. I thought he was a panhandler at first sight. Next, I clearly repeated my order to this "champ" and to the sandwich makers. We had no extra roast beef on the two #10's and the cucumber was on one of the #10's and not the #2 we purchased. I never called to let them know about this and we don't want a refund. We are done with the Brown Street location and now you know why. Besides, the "champ" never even gave, or mentioned, a receipt. The store on Far Hills is completely different. Just a few great and caring people are able to be professional and they can even take a order and make a simple sandwich. The Brown Street store has a whole different vibe to it. You know you made a mistake as soon as you get in the door. Don't believe me? This particular Jimmy Johns delivers CONSISTENTLY bad service. There is always something wrong with the order, they are usually running late...it's really unbelievable. Usually it's bearable to have the wrong sandwich just for convenience but today was ridiculous. Today, I ordered a sandwich for delivery....AN HOUR LATER it still doesn't show up. I call and they say they delivered it at the wrong place. Then they ask if I want another one....WELL YEAH! The delivery location is 2 minutes from the location, yet it takes 20 minutes for them to get here. The manager, Alex, tried to say that he "put it in the bag himself" but then proceeds to say that the reason it was late, was because the delivery driver decided to go across town FIRST before delivering my order...in what world does it make sense to have your driver go across town before making a delivery to someone who was already waiting over an hour because of your mistake? There was no attempt to rectify the situation, give a discount, refund, etc....and on top of that, he claims he put in the bag, but the sandwich was made incorrectly, they did not bring a straw, or mustard packets. Look at all the other reviews and you will see that something is SERIOUSLY wrong with this location. They should honestly be...

Don't expect anything fast or fresh from this store. Placed an order today and tracked order showed out for delivery about 10-12 minutes later. The delivery address is an office building less than 1 mile from the store. I headed down to meet the delivery driver so they wouldn't have to wait for me to make the trek to the door. I waited 25 minutes before calling the store; they said driver was out with two orders (mine being one). I waited another 10 minutes before calling to cancel the order. I don't like the idea of eating sandwiches that have been riding around in a care for almost 35 minutes. After about 15 minutes, I received a call from the driver saying "I'm here with your order"......at this point it was almost an hour from when the sandwiches had been ordered and about 50 minutes from when the order left the store.
