Well the wait staff was nice but the menu had 6 or so entrees I which I got the waffles and chicken I'm sorry Chicken and waffle. They said it was a quarter chicken and it was it was a leg and a Belgian waffle made out of cornbread I believe. All together the meal to prepare probably cost $4 it was very small portion very small chicken good size waffle but how much does a waffle cost. It ran $35 Plus pre-tip for two plates or should I say trays with paper underneath that dissolved as we ate. It was garnished with arugula which I don't normally eat arugula with my waffles nor will I and the portion was so small did I say this already and the taste was Chicken and waffles that you can get at a soul food shop for pennies on the dollar. We ordered a pretzel to come before the meal it didn't it came with our meal. Upon entering you would think that for the price of the meal that we paid there would be service but no you order at the counter and they'll bring you your food afterwards $35 for two chicken legs and two waffles is way too much money sorry it had an egg on it it did it was poached it's okay did I mention how small the portion was for $35 worth of chicken and waffles. My son and me we're the only two patrons in there the kitchen and bar was bigger than and I mean behind the bar it was bigger than the entire restaurant from where patrons would sit which is understandable because there were more employees than they were patrons. I'm sorry I wouldn't go back to that place maybe The nightlife is a lot better than the daytime breakfast brunch thing they have going. Like I said the staff was nice the pretzel was delicious but the cheddar cheese wasn't that great I think I found a hair but I wasn't sure. Does chef Ramsay would have had a blast I believe that my review here would have had nothing on what he would have done. And I probably won't ever go back there even if they gave me a coupon because I wrote this only because it's so far away and it really wasn't a very good experience but the staff was they were nice and the pretzel it was good. For those 211 five stars that they received from other patrons on Facebook I wouldn't be surprised if they were relatives but I also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't for their breakfast like I said they might have a wonderful nightlife there there were probably 500 bottles of wine the same one hanging on the walls I don't know it's not a breakfast place go to Denny's you'll be more satisfied sorry guys I don't mean to be like this but I have a headache it's been a long day and the way I started it was with a chicken leg and waffles for I'm sorry waffle...
Read moreI had high hopes for Table 33 in the Arcade, eager to make it my new favorite downtown dining spot. Unfortunately, my experience fell flat—much like the wobbly tables inside.
At first glance, the restaurant looked modern and chic from the outside, but upon entering, the interior design felt overdone and tacky. It seemed like an attempt to mimic too many big-city hotspots without finding its own identity. The lighting appeared cheap, and the ambiance failed to match the upscale impression I anticipated.
Service is where Table 33 stumbled most significantly. The host was inattentive, more engrossed in their phone than in greeting guests—a crucial misstep for first impressions. Throughout the meal, service was painfully slow. While I can appreciate the value of verifying answers to menu questions, our server's repeated trips away from the table disrupted the flow of the experience.
The menu itself was underwhelming. I had expected something innovative and diverse, especially with the locally sourced Keener Farms meats that were prominently mentioned when the restaurant reopened. Instead, the offerings felt dated and uninspired. If you're going to feature lamb downtown, it needs to be exceptional, but unfortunately, it paled in comparison to the lamb dishes I've enjoyed at places like Salar. On the positive side, the French fries were amazing—crispy, flavorful, and a surprising highlight of the meal.
What puzzled me most was how rushed and poorly thought-out the entire experience felt. From the uninspired menu to the lackluster service and questionable design choices, it all came across as though they had focused more on opening quickly than on creating something truly memorable. Perhaps investing in staff training and refining the menu’s focus could help Table 33 align better with its initial promise.
In the end, Table 33 didn’t live up to the promise of its exterior—or its own marketing. While I’m willing to give it another shot, the bar is set low. Hopefully, they'll make improvements to warrant becoming a favorite downtown...
Read moreEasily made a reservation online for two. Table was ready when we got there. Waited a bit to make it to the hostess. Table was wobbly, seats were comfortable for outdoor furniture. Service was very slow to be kind. We ordered coffee, a flat white with almond milk, a pumpkin tart, biscuits and creole gravy, and a bacon cheeseburger. Coffee came out just before the meal and after maybe a 25 minutes of waiting after ordering. The bacon cheeseburger came out next. The flavor was off. When I lifted the bun I realized there was no bacon. After inspecting further and tasting each ingredient I found that the house made pickles were maybe bread and butter and did not taste well. They were also limp. The breakfast potatoes were very good, but only 4 petite whole potatoes seemed small for a la carte ordering. After several more minutes the biscuits and creole gravy came out. The biscuit tasted very good. The creole gravy with what looked like cut up chicken thigh meat looked very unappealing. It was likened to cat food. The flavor was good just looked very unappetizing. This may have been a score if the thigh meat was ground and seasoned with fennel and other seasonings possibly like a sausage. The pumpkin tart was puff pastry filled with pumpkin and topped with yet another fail. It was supposed to have Chantilly cream flavored with vanilla but instead it had a white viscous milky sauce possibly more to a kin to a crème anglaise sauce without the egg yolks. With such a small menu for brunch the lack of execution is indicative not just a problem with non typical business streams. It would be hard for me to say I would go back and try this place again since I know for the price point of this meal I could go somewhere else and get far better service and quality food inspired by...
