This was the first time my wife and I visited Ford's Garage, and we were quite pleased. We walked in as they were opening up for business at 11:00 am, and were seated at a large booth. The waiter's name was Jeremy and he was very nice helpful, and attentive which was great for us as we had never ordered from her before. My wife and I ordered buffalo shrimp with creamy sauce on top with a slight kick to it that was arranged on white flat glassware, a stack of onion rings that were displayed on an antic-looking upsidedown oil funnel for our appetizers and then a steak and mashed potatoes bowl with cut-up vegetables. My wife had a glass of water with lemon and I had a glass of Coke Zero and a Pina Colada. The food was delivered to our table piping hot, and it tasted great! Ford"s Garage restaurant is relatively new so everything looked very nice with blue light trimmed all around. The whole side of the restaurant with a side patio was opened and the inside was quite comfortably cool. There is a great big horseshoe-looking bar in the middle of the dining room with a black 1930s Antic Ford hanging from the ceiling. All of the staff was dressed like car mechanics and the walls were dressed up with pictures, and funny quotes from Mr. Ford. This restaurant is a stylish yet laid-back place to bring your family, and friends for a great time. Now I said stylish so that also means food cost is a bit pricey. My wife told me it was signature brand type food to which I replied, "Oh okay!" Our meal that I laid out in the description above came to $80 plus a $20 tip! So after lunch, my wife, and I were pleasantly full, as we walked past a crowded room. So let that be a warning to all of you who read this, "Go Early!"

We stopped in here on a friday night on a trip to orlando. It was announced 7:30 when we arrived and this place was packed!!!! I would estimate that about thirtyish people were outside the door waiting. It's a very small parking lot so that was a real issue. My boyfriend dropped me off at the front door and he went to park the truck. If you follow me, then you know that I love to sit at the bar. I walked in, and there were about 8 seats available at the bar (evidence of the previous diners was still waiting to be cleared), which looks like it can seat about 2 dozen. The bartender noticed me and had the bar cleaned and ready for us to sit within five minutes. She was absolutely amazing and on point. Ask for Kaitlyn. Totally the BEST EVER! We ordered margaritas with Don Julio and an appetizer of firecracker shrimp. Within ten minutes of walking in, we had placed our drink and app order. Within another five minutes, we had them in front of us! And remember, this place is packed! My boyfriend ordered the monte cristo with onion rings and I ordered the firecracker shrimp on cilantro lime rice with avocados. The Monte Cristo tasted like a donut with ham and it came with the raspberry dipping sauce.... Let me just say.... fantastic. Probably not very healthy, but sometimes you gotta live a little! My healthy choice of the shrimp with cilantro lime rice was so fresh and delicious. We come to Daytona for bike week and jeep beach every year and don't know how we missed this place, but it is absolutely going to be on the list of places to frequent every time! The food only got four stars because I was not a fan of the thick crust on the onion rings, but Fords Garage is a big winner!

** Ford’s Garage manager did reply to my review * I was able to call and had a conversation about our visit. He was welcoming of constructive criticism and offered to have us back to try to have a better experience. I explained that we weren’t looking for a free meal. These were just observations on how things looked from a customers perspective. I appreciated that he was receptive.** We were excited to try Ford’s Garage but it was disappointing. We sat at the bar and waited between 5-10 minutes before anyone greeted us. We ordered drinks beers/water and then waited again as she went to take another order before bringing our drinks. I never got my water. We eventually were asked if we wanted to order {no menu introduction or suggestions} and we ordered an onion ring appetizer and she asked if we wanted to order our main meal which I am always hesitant to do but we did and of course when the food started coming out the appetizer came out with our entrees. The bartender {female wearing two knee braces} was less than engaging. Most of the other staff seemed to be congregating around a guy with an earpiece who seemed to be a manager who was parked at a seat by the service counter at the bar. No one seemed customer oriented or to be in any sort of hurry to do anything. The food was decent but the visit was very disappointing. The bartender didn’t bring app plates with our onion rings so we had to wait. Thank goodness we had silverware although the napkin was like wiping your mouth with an actual shop rag. It would be safe to say that we likely will not be back and suggest that no one else wastes their time and money. Photo is comfortable manager hanging at bar.

We recently had a rough experience at this Ford’s location last month and I wanted to share my experience.

We originally placed a pickup order to be ready and upon arriving to the to-go window no one was there. After waiting a couple of minutes as I know restaurants can be busy I went inside to retrieve my order.

After waiting more time a young lady finally asked had I been helped as she noticed I was waiting quite a while. After waiting about another 10 minutes I eventually went and found a server to please track down someone to simply “hand” me the order which had been ready over 15 minutes.

Our food was super soggy, and ultimately it was a terrible experience and disappointing as I do love frequenting Fords. I then returned to the restaurant to ask for a refund. After asking to speak with a manager, I waited EXTREMELY patiently as the “manager” Donna “searched” for a t-shirt for over 10 minutes even after she had been notified of my request to speak with her.

Once she nonchalantly asked what my issue was as if I hadn’t wasted about 30 minutes in their establishment standing around waiting, she then took me the back to get the refund processed. While I was waiting for this process the “associate” Melody or Melony came over as if to see what the issue was. As a manager in customer service for over 10 years this experience was truly a terrible one.

This issue was then compounded as I did not see the refund on my end. I do appreciate Sean and his GM for attempting to rectify the refund situation but ultimately I was extremely unhappy with the entire situation. Sean was the only bright spot of this awful experience as he did try to help. It truly was a disappointment as we were super excited for our meals. We will probably never return to this location and to be honest maybe not...
