Larry's Giant Subs — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

I'm giving this restaurant 1-Star because of their horrible customer service. I literally just went to their store because I was running for door dash. When I arrived, the order was supposed to be ready already. It took me 15 minutes to get there and the time it was supposed to be completed was 5 minutes before I even arrived. When I arrived, there was a decent rush there. So I just waited on line like everyone, thinking that this would give the staff some extra time to finish the order, if need be. When I finally got to the front of the line, (12 mins later), they told me it wasn't ready but they were working on it currently. People were still coming in, so I stepped aside. Another 10 minutes passed and still no order. Another 10 minutes and the short little white lady finally looks at the pad for the order. She writes down my order along with some other online orders. When the physical line is clear, that's when she starts and finishes my order. It was a chicken sandwich with chips and a coke. It took her 5 minutes tops......but I waited about 45 minutes for them to complete it. Not to mention the other 15 minutes they had since the order was sent through....

I have been a humble customer at this establishment for many years. I have enjoyed their awesome menu for about 16 years 😋 from high-school by myself to now. I serve my 5 member family this awesome food as our go-to treat, and today it was our choice send off meal as we are on a new adventure we are leaving the area. This sub shop serves kindness humane genuine authentic service. The food speaks for itself, but if you have been a repeat customer, the retention of their family unit type employees touts its highest praise. They have so much love and respect for each other, their food, and the community they serve. Because of establishments like this, our community can have happy smooth lunches during our crazy work week. You can bet on fast tasty food that out does any chain fast food. They smash a bustling lunch rush with fineness. You want a great sub fast with service you can count on to fill you up and ensure you won't be late back to work, this is the place. This place is ridiculous when it comes to service I don't see how when you order ahead online and then you show up 15 or so minutes after you did the order and when you arrive there is someone ordering before They acknowledge you, and then tell them that you have a pickup order and then you got to wait another 15 or 20 minutes to get the order while that same person that just ordered when you arrive gets his order before you get yours that have been placed 15 to 20 minutes prior. That kind of defeats the whole purpose of ordering online ahead of time if you got to come in and wait another 20 minutes for your order and there is no way that it should take 30 35 minutes to make one sub no matter how many tickets you have there was probably four or five including the one for me and they were all single subs or a couple of them with two subs on them and if that many tickets which was probably six or seven subs total put your line down and makes you have 30 minute ticket times There is something wrong I guess I know now to order probably 45 minutes ahead of time to get my order and then hope...
