This owner really does operate on island time. I went Saturday around 11:30 to grab something to eat really fast. I get there and the place is closed, despite google maps says they open at 11am-11pm on Saturdays. I called the number on the front of the business and someone answered and said they open at 12pm. So I went to my car and waited. I figure 30 minute wait won’t be a big deal. 12pm came and I went to the door and it was locked no sign of anyone. The “open” sign is still off. So I waited, another customer came and was surprised they were closed since google maps says different. She ask me to call the store and see what’s up. I called again 30 minutes later and the same guy answered (owner?). Now he said they are open at 12:30pm. I find this bad business practice and feel they don’t value customers time. Read moreJerk chicken- not good. not spicy no taste.. also what gives with the Jamaican restaurants giving out 1 chicken leg quarter and charging $12. Leg quarters are .59 cents a pound.,. to get a spicy jerk they add hot bbq sauce. Rice and peas also terrible. This was my 2nd and last visit.
I only tried this because my regular place is temp closed "a better taste of Jamaica" and i didn't want to drive to their beachside location. This food is barely edible , blah at best. Also, not a big fan of them microwaving the sides in your Styrofoam container. my mac and cheese was half mac and have melted Styrofoam. I would hope they move away from styrofoam and use paper or something else that doesn't cause cancer....

My order wasn't ready when I got there. I HEARD him put my food in the microwave. The styrofoam plates were even melted a bit. I asked him for a few sorrels...he pulled my drinks out and let them sweat on the counter while my plates were being made. When I got home I had cold food and hot drinks.
I'd pass on this place. They charge way too much to not serve...
