New Review: I have gone through the drive through at this store several times recently. Service has greatly improved since my last review. Service is friendly and food is always ready! I would recommend trying them out.
Previous Review: I was excited to have a Panda Express open nearby. I could go to this location instead of having to drive all the way out to Allen Park. Unfortunately this location is poorly managed.
Quite often when you order at the store, they are out of the items you want and you are stuck waiting 10-20 minutes. In the worst case, they are out of the items you want and none of their woks are working. One would hope that ordering online would mean your food would be ready by the time you arrive. However, quite often your online order will not be started until you inquire about it at the register. In some cases, they realize they are out of the items you ordered online and you are stuck waiting 10-20 minutes.
I once ordered online and the order was not ready when I arrived. When they tried to fulfill the order, they realized they were out of the items I wanted. I did not have time to wait for them to cook the items and asked for a refund. After seeing no refund on my card after several days, I tried calling the store to get some more information. No one answered the phone after calling several times. When I finally could talk with someone they just hung up. I did eventually get a refund several days later.
My worst experience with this location was ordering at the drive thru and being told that it would be a 10 minute wait. I was asked to pull up to the front of the store and that they would bring it out to my car when it was ready. I had plenty of time to wait and surfed the web on my phone. I didn't realize 40 minutes had passed by and I went into the store to see why I still did not receive my order. It turns out my order was half fulfilled and then placed on a counter where it was forgotten. It was a very slow evening for the store so there is no reason this should have happened.
You're better off going to the Allen Park store. I have never had problems like this over there. They also seem to be more generous...
Read moreOrder out from this place often. Always getting the Honey Walnut shrimp, no longer. I was up sick till 6am on the day Spider-Man 2 came out! And couldn't enjoy my game cus I was hurling up shrimp! Eaten at PE for years and never had an issue... This got me sad AF.
.2025 - Started ordering here about January 25, was consistent and reliable until lately, I guess the change of season or staff, but there's always an issue with my orders. Once ordered a family meal and the box of honey walnut shrimp was about a quarter full, I didn't complain, received the wrong order and I didn't complain. But today, I'm told they are out of chicken. Like entirely. So they want to change my order but have no idea what is on their menu. After a few moments I thought to just cancel the order and get it from the other PE 15 mins away, turns out you cant do that, because PE gives the order to Door Dash once its made. No cancelations on their end, call doordash. So after bickering with the woman at the counter after I show up to get the food, since they cant cancel the order, miraculous the order is canceled as im waiting to receive it. đ So, I just won't be spending my money here anymore. I know, a billion dollar corporation couldn't possibly care about my chump change but its the principal. You wasted my time and wasted food, all because you refuse to acknowledge that your own system places the order through door dash, then argue with me when I have proof displaying that its you who I made the order with. I regret all this time wasted dealing with this issue. Just avoid PE and go to a local...
Read moreI had never been to a Panda Express before, but we got a coupon in the mail and decided to try it out. I always see them at the airport and they smell really good.
The joint looked new and was very clean and shiny.
The woman behind the counter was very patient explaining how the food choices worked.
Basically you pick a base starch (white, brown, fried rice or noodles) and then whatever protein you want on top of it.
I asked the associate what's the most popular choice and she said the Orange Chicken. So I got that over noodles.
My buddy got the same but over brown rice.
We got a side of Cheese Rangoon.
The Orange Chicken was very sticky sweet. Sweeter than General Tao's Chicken would be. Not spicy, ok tasting, tender. Noodles were cooked al dente but had really no flavor at all.
Brown rice also had no flavor.
Cheese Rangoon was probably the best part of the meal. Super crispy with a very lightweight cream cheese filling.
Sweetened Black Tea was really sweet, sweeter than McDonald's sweet tea. Many people would do well to leave some room in the cup and then add some water from the soda fountain.
My fortune cookie was rather unfortunate, and was actually empty.
Even with the buy one get one free coupon, it really just wasn't that good of a meal. Service was good, but really no reason to return.
I'd suggest New Peking a half mile up the road, for some much better prepared...
