I had been ordering from Beyond for some years, but this is actually my FAVORITE location (Ford Rd in Dearborn Heights). I've been coming here almost daily since they opened it. I used to make daily smoothies at home, but someone at home broke 3 of my blenders and I gave up. What really won me over was their cleanliness. I had noticed it(a long while back) when there was a new guy that kept changing his gloves with EVERY NEW TASK during my order, wiping surfaces. He still works there now, way less nervous and has the same habits. He's very nice to the customers and has even memorized my orders' customizations(I overheard him fuss about another person not making my order correctly once lol...). Sometimes when I arrive, he'll notice and bring my order out to me. I asked their manager(Imad?)--another good worker there-- what his name was so I could leave a review and he said I could be referring to "Abdul". He's a tall, slim, young guy possibly right out of high school, kinda tan, and had light colored eyes with a curly tapered haircut. Never messes my orders up. There's another guy, a bit stockier with a curly taper that's been paired with him that is excellent as well. I don't know his name but I'll ask to review. The improvements to this location would be the newer girls. One wears a black hijab and she does REALLY good, but the other ones could be better. Most times they leave off my add-ons, and one never wears gloves. She had her fingers on the inside of my cups, and instead of an ice scoop, used her hand to scoop the ice with my cup. That would contaminate the whole ice bin. Other than that, FIST-BUMPS to Beyond on...
Read moreI've been ordering from this location for a while, and I usually don't have any quarrels; but today I, unfortunately, had a mediocre experience.
I used the Beyond app to place an order for pick up. I ordered a caesar wrap (with a spinach tortilla and upgraded to the chipotle glazed chicken) + a cosmic bowl. With tip, it came out to about $30. Despite the food being kind of pricey, I've always appreciated the fresh ingredients and flavor, so I typically order as a "treat myself" kind of thing. Anyway, today I was able to walk in, and within a moment or so, my order was ready so I could just walk out. The employees are always very friendly so I've never had a customer service issue.
Anyway, I picked up my food and drove home (~3-5 minute drive) to eat. Unfortunately, my caesar wrap was loosely wrapped, so all the contents fell out and the sauce dripped everywhere. The tortilla was burned. The lettuce inside was flimsy/wilted/brown so I picked a lot of it out. My cosmic bowl was half full, giving me the impression that they skimped on the ingredients. And the bananas inside were brown and mushy. Recall, I've come here many times so I know what my order usually looks like, and today... this was just not it.
Like I said, normally I don't have an issue with this place, but today it seemed like they were using old stock/ingredients. I'm not sure if it's because of the holiday weekend so truck/delivery is behind and they're stretching ingredients? But honestly, I'd rather be told "we're out of quality ingredients" than pay for a $13 caesar wrap and a $12 smoothie bowl with mediocre...
Read moreI wish I were exaggerating, but in my last five orders from this establishment, every single one has had major mistakes. The staff is shockingly incompetent, failing to get even the simplest orders right—and they never have solutions when things go wrong.
Most recently, on Tuesday, June 10, I ordered a breakfast wrap with only eggs. When I opened it, there was some type of meat inside. I called the restaurant immediately (within 10 minutes), and not a single employee could figure out who made the sandwich or how to fix it. The lack of accountability and professionalism is astounding.
Save yourself the frustration—if you want an accurate order, go...
