Waffle House — Restaurant in Decatur

Third shift, K.C., Sylvia, Kat, Bob, and Trisha are the best. I would clone them for every shift, every day. They don't get no better than this Crew anywhere, and I am a 24 year Submarine Sailor and have been around the world.

20 October 2017, 0630 I love to eat here at the Waffle House at the North end of the city of Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama by the Tennessee River bridge. The cook K.C., is outstanding and one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of being fed by. The servers are also, top-drawer, not seen better in 5 🌟 star resterants, Chole, Kat, Sylvia, Kensley, Kit-Kat, and Bella. NOW to the Problems, I talked to Misty about this and the Problems went away, now she is gone, and the Problems are back. If I ask for a T-bone steak dinner, and the server says to me that they are out of T-bone steak dinners, no problem. But if I ask for a T-bone steak dinner and the server says that they can't get to it until the next shift because no one has the key, 2nd shift didn't do the right breakouts, no one will come in and open up the fridge and get me one out, no one will go to the store and buy me one and cook it for me, I can't go to the store and get me one and let them cook it for me, PLUS I hear the server say to other patrons that the Waffle House has no milk or gravy (they are both, also locked up in the commissary). This is Unsat, let the server get the key, unlock the commissary, log what they got in front of the grill op. Give it to the manager at turnover. Or let the server go to the store, get the money from the register, buy what you need, put it back in the morning...

My family normally loves waffle house because they are usually welcoming to families and fast to serve with southern hospitality. Here, the food was good. Hash browns were a little over crispy but still tasty. However, they were not happy to see my children walk through their door. They had 3 booths open, but all needed to be cleaned. I sat at the counter and told a waitress that we would like to have a booth after one was cleaned, she said okay but no one ever cleaned them for us. They were cleaned later for some ladies and a couple that came in. Someone did get our drinks and order but she didn't assist in any other way. She brought our ticket when she brought our food. I feel like we were purposefully ignored because my waves and "excuse me ma'ams" went unacknowledged. I had to get unopened creamers from one of the dirty booths because I couldn't get anyone's attention. My family will not go back to this waffle house and I can't recommend this building to any family with...

The worst service ever. The woman named Zavi had long nails and was scratching in her head then touched food plates and to go plates. She was loudly telling her co workers they needed Jesus while they all played around and did nothing. The staff was very unprofessional and did not give me my money back after messing up on my order after another staff asked them too so they gave me 2 free waffle cards that I left there since I will not be patroning their business again. Disgusting behavior and they were too busy flirting with each other to do their jobs correctly! I got home just to find out they left both meats out of my meals so now I have vegetarian meals that I paid for!! You can't call or complain to anyone because their phone doesn't take calls. Do not go to this location. Absolutely...
