If i could give this place zero stars I would but that's not a choice so they get a one star. My best friend and I love yamatos we usually either go to the one in Manchester or the one in Tullahoma but due to recent covid cases they did not open their dining area and we wanted to sit down and eat and have the full experience. Well we decided to drive to this location and we got there around 7:30 pm on Thursday May 28th. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated and there was only one table with people sitting down so that was not a good sign from the start. We then finally got sat and she took our drink order the first server was nice but took forever to get our drink order. We then placed our order very simple and it took almost a hour and a half for our food to get to us and guess what it was on not a plate but to go containers. The second server said it was because we wouldn't be able to finish it all before we left. I was very upset over this because if i wanted to eat out of a to go box I would have went to Manchester or Tullahoma not drive 35 minutes away to do that. Then the second server took forever on refills acted extremely rude towards us and the other table who came in and to people she was taking orders over the phone to. We arrived around 7:30pm and didn't leave until almost 9:30pm because she took forever to do anything. The other table there was also getting frustrated with her because of food wait time and because she kept bringing them things they didn't ask for. Sometimes she completely ignored them and i know she heard them because she would roll her eyes every time they tried to get her attention. I also got extremely sick after eating their food so I really do not recommend this place. And if you eat at the yamatos in Manchester or Tullahoma and eat the yum yum sauce don't expect that from this places. The sauce here is terrible and doesn't taste anything like it. We do not recommend this...
Read moreDelicious food! Their fried rice is the best we've ever had and their prices are great. We order from them a lot. Sadly I placed a togo order recently and I was advised they were busy so it would be a few extra minutes. Fine by me. I arrive 40 minutes later and the place Is packed. I stood at the counter for ages and they could not find my food. Said I ordered chicken and shrimp which I did not, I even confirmed my order twice on the phone. She then told me the order was written down wrong and tossed the bag on the counter in front of me and asked if I would take it anyway. From what it looked like my order was given away to someone else. No apology was offered and when I said no I would not take the wrong food she grimaced and advised me maybe she could fix it but it would take a while. The fact no apology was made and I could tell she had no interest in fixing my order. I guess they have so many customers they don't line losing one. I said no thanks and left. I went and called in an order at a new local spot. Yamoto wont be getting any business...
Read moreFoods good, service sucks. Two meals an appetizer costs $40 which is fine but when I asked for an empty container to put some yummy sauce in for my leftovers they informed me it would cost me $0.45. I’m aware that’s not much money but I am a paying dine-in customer and wanted an empty container...so I said I’ll just squirt some in my togo box and they proceeded to put the extra yummy sauce cups cost on our bill just to be rude. I didn’t say anything, paid for the sauce but didn’t leave a tip and the lady that I assume is the owner proceeded to say something rude to me that I didn’t quite make out and when I said huh? She said “nothing” with an attitude. It sucks because it’s the only decent Yamato/ Japanese food in the area. I’ll just have to order take out from now on but even that is a hassle as they don’t start cooking your order until you get there...
