OCHI Sushi and Ramen — Restaurant in Dedham

Very excited about this restaurant as its a cuisine Dedham Center desperately needed. Atmosphere is clean, classy, and tasteful. Service is friendly and professional. Sushi was plump, fresh, and delicious. Ramen was... OK. I went for the Spicy Chicken Katsu Ramen and all the spice is provided on the side. This may be preferable to some, I personally prefer it cooked into the broth. Noodles are decent but my standards have been set ludicrously high by Ganko Ittetsu in Brookline. Perfectly fine though if not willing to make that drive and wait. Unfortunately, the chicken was over cooked and tough. I will be getting the tonkatsu next time. Everything still tasted nice despite my gripes.

Overall thrilled about this addition to Dedham Center. I really want to see this restaurant thrive here, it's got a lot to offer...

This is our new favorite place to get takeout. Ever since leaving the Coolidge Corner area and moving to West Roxbury, we have been disappointed in our search for quality Japanese food... until now. Uchi Sushi and Ramen has comparable Ramen to Genki Ittetsu, maki rolls that rival Fugakyu, and veggie lo mein that is better than that of anywhere I've ever been. The crab rangoon looked and tasted homemade; this is not just your average frozen Sysco delivery fare! We've never dined there indoors, so I can't speak to atmosphere, but I can tell you that the service I've experienced when picking up is fantastic: the order is always ready on time, and the server was courteous and kind. I highly recommend Uchi Sushi and Ramen to anyone looking for really good...

I really can't say enough about this place! We came here for dinner twice within a week after discovering it on a visit home to see family. We ordered the large sushi and sashimi special and everything in it was fresh, cut perfectly and absolutely delicious. The tempura is hot, light and crispy. The drinks can be made with varying degrees of sweetness--try the lychee martini! And they'll even do a sake bomb for you if you ask nicely (my 78 year old mother had never and I couldn't help myself). 😉

We brought a large group here one night and they were very accommodating. The service was fantastic. I love eating in a family-owned restaurant, especially when the food is wonderful, and this place fits the bill. Can't wait to go back on my next...
