MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Deer Park

I used to work here, quit yesterday. This store is ran so poorly... I have had many jobs throughout my life and this one was the worst as far as management goes, besides Alicia and Micheal. Phyllis (gm) would yell at employees in front of customers. You get written up for every tiny thing. I loved my job and MOD... they pay youn $10.50 an hr because you are lucky to get at least 20 hours a week. Some people for 10 or less. Only one or two employees qualify for insurance bc bc they keep hrs to a minimum. Do you want to eat at an establishment that treats their employees this way? I would not!!! Also, some managers make fun of customers that come in or make fun of people putting in applications. This is unacceptable. Was told i was going to be made captain, but instead the made a girl captain that disappeared for two whole days and didnt even call or show up! And Janell is Still a captain! Not to mention managers Phyllis and Natalie were late to work at least 4 days in one week. I have recordings of times and the days they were late, I had to sit outside for 35-50 waiting on a Manger to open the store. They scheduled so poorly that they had some managers , the good ones, there for 2 hours by themselves, I also have screen shots of those schedules. Why don't they get written up for their lack of motivation to get to work on time? THIS MOD IS A JOKE! EAT ELSEWHERE! I am sending all if this to human resources. Good luck keep your jobs! The girl with the Zelda hat (me) no longer works here and wouldn't if you paid me a bunch of money too.. Oh and FYI! $10.50 isn't much. I was making that years ago and then some! Hopefully they fix management asap BC I would love to see this...

I walked in and was instantly greeted. There were at least 10 employees behind the counter. I assumed they were all in training. I haven't been to a mod pizza before so I was studying the menu on the wall when the first employee asked if I needed help. She told me how the menu lists their specialty pizzas and that all of the pizzas could be altered or I could even create one from scratch. I decided on the Caspian with bacon (which was advised. And was delicious ) They then set to making my order. Each employee on the line performing their individual task. In under 2 minutes my pizza went in and it seemed like 3 minutes later that it came out. But not before the part of this story that will make me recommend this place to everyone I know. One of the employees noticed the shirt I was wearing and we had a short conversation about it and then I asked about a pin on his hat. As I am waiting for my pizza to come out, this guy brings me that pin and hands it to me saying "no one else who has ever seen this pin knew what it was so I'd like you to have it" I was blown away. He said he had a second one and I thanked him multiple times for it. After getting my pizza everyone thanked me for coming in BY NAME. They all put my name to memory and thanked me. I'm still amazed at the level of customer service and I'm glad I stopped in there today. If you guys see this,...

I love MOD, The pizzas are pretty good and the staff always bring out the best of customer service. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because yesterday when I went with my boyfriend there was a misunderstanding with the drinks and I wanted water but my boyfriend wanted coke so an older lady who was at the register gave us two large cups and didn't charge us for it. I thought she charged us since my boyfriend said two large drinks no water, so when I went to get my pizza the same older lady told me out loud in front of the customers that the drinks aren't free and that I had to pay for them being extremely rude. I felt so embarrassed so I told my boyfriend so he went up to pay for the drinks and she told him not to worry about it. She disregarded the whole situation after she accused me of not paying for the drinks, I wasn't even the one who paid it was my boyfriend. Lol anyways her customer service sucked. The younger adults are nicer, I've never had a problem before...
