Just left the LaPorte TMobile Location. Unbelievably irritating. Back story. My Dad passed away on 2/28/23. He has a TMobile account & I called the 800 # to close the account. I was told that they can place the account on hold & then they will call me on Monday, 3/20/23 to complete the steps in closing the account. Problem... the auto draft is set up to go out tomorrow. I enquired about how to stop the autodraft from going out since I tried it online & I got a pop-up message stating the autodraft would be cancelled effective in April. I was told I will need to take the Death Certificate & the Statutory Durable Power of Attorney into the local store to get verification from an employee that I am indeed legally able to handle my Dad's affairs. I went directly to the store & called back to the customer service 800 # & the store employee verified my documents. However, the corporate employee said that it didn't matter what documents I have since I'm not listed as an authorized user on the account. Well, my brother is an authorized user since he once shared the account with my Dad. So, I called him & he came over to show his ID so they could go ahead & stop the auto draft from taking place. Now here's the kicker.... My brothers ID expired on his birthday2/23/23 - 5 days before Dad passed away. He didn't realize it since we were taking care of Dad under hospice care 24/7 @ home for weeks prior to his passing. Renewing his license wasn't on his mind. The girl helping us could clearly see that the ID belonged to my brother. But according to her, because the licensed is expired, she can't verify that he is the person on the ID. I kid you not. She stood there with a Death Certificate, a Statutory Durable Power of Attorney, two grieving adult children & an ID that didn't have an update to the expiration date & she flatly stated that she could not verify that my brother was indeed my brother without the ID being current. Me and my girl friend went in to get my phone line added to her existing account. My line was with my daughters account at Verizon. They did pay my account off great. My girl friend wanted a new phone so the rep at this location put me on her account with a promotion that give her almost a free phone. We had to pay 50$. The plan he put us on had 4 lines but we didn't ask for 4 lines just me added to the 55 old plan which my girl friend had already. We paid 95$ tax on the new phone fine. He quoted us 40$ for my plan then came back and said 50$ a month. The first bill set up for the next month was total 195.$ something was off. We found out he set us up a 4 line plan which we didn't want and not told about. We received no paper work on the tax payment no paperwork on the new phone my girl friend signed for. We are 73-72 years of age on a fixed income and this place after we went back over there and talked to them and they said it was right?????? Read moreThe worst customer service ever. I stood in line for 15 minutes first, just so they could give me a number. There were several employees but only two were working at the time. After I got a number, I waited another 35-40 mins while other employee were in an out. Finally the manager asked in. I Told her I wanted to buy a new Motorola edge, since my phone had the top half of screen broken. She said I could only buy it, if I ordered online, I showed her my broken phone, and she said I still needed to call customer service (CS) and order a phone. I ask her to stay in the call with me, but she declined. She immediately went to work with other customer. After getting CS, she asked me to put the manger on the phone. The manager declined and asked me to wait until she finished with another customer. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, the CS told me she could not wait any longer.
