Let me say, I hate leaving bad reviews! Normally I follow the "if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything" motto. I just have to warn of a severe lack of concern for customer experience.
January 2025 wedding issue with guest sitting in some chemical (bleach) left on a chair in cocktail room damaging his suit.
Initial contact was on Monday after the event, with email to Melanie (Event Manager), who had to speak with employees and get back with my wife. (She Never Responded) The Guest, my wife and myself all reached out numerous times with no call back. Approximately 7 call attempts went unreturned until I reached out to the General Manger, Marty Martinez, who acknowledged the total lack of customer service Melanie was demonstrating.
After Marty and I finally spoke, he was to make contact with the guest, work out a resolution and contact me back with the final outcome. After several days of no communication, I called the guest who had been inconvenienced and asked if the General Manager, Marty ever called. I was told that Melanie, not Marty had made contact several days after my call with Marty and the guest requested that Marty call him back. Marty did call and suffices to say, Marty and Deer Creek did not acknowledge any responsibility.
While I have to say, we all were very happy with the event otherwise, it surprises me how myopic the General Manager & the Event Manager can be to not realize that someone having a party with 185 guests and asked them to solve a less than $250 guest issue should not be made to feel they received above and beyond customer service.
How sad it is when I cannot walk away tell all that Deer Creek is a great venue, not because of the venue, but because of the lack of customer service exhibited by management.

Long story short we left after playing 5 holes when we were supposed to play a whole 18. We requested a refund for the back nine holes since we never even played a whole 9. The managers agreed but never told us it wasn’t an actual refund of our money but basically we would be getting a gift certificate to come back and play nine holes. Well after we realized the money was never refunded I confronted Brian another manager who explained we were supposed to get coupons to play again not cash back they never actually return people’s money apparently. Well due to so many bad reviews our group was blamed for them all and asked not to return to the course? Read moreMy daughter and son-in-law were just married at Deer Creek Country Club last month. I couldn’t be more happier with how everything went! First, the manager Sarah was the best to work with. She was easygoing and professional from the start and made us all feel welcome. You couldn’t ask for a nicer person to work with and anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact with your venue prior to the event. All our expectations were met and then some. Her assistant Jessica was very helpful as well. Deer Creek Country club was a perfect spot for my daughter’s wedding. The location is intimate and warm. It had gorgeous surroundings and a beautiful sunset view.
