I am not one to write reviews. But my negative experience motivated me to write this one. I hope the owner of this location reads this review and knows that he/she lost a customer just because an employee was borderline passive agressive with me for reasons I will never know. Below is a description of my experience:
I arrived today (3/28/23) at around 6:30 PM with my mother and father in law.
I sat down first to look at the menu while my mother ordered. My father in law decided to go outside to have a cigarette.
My mother sat down and I got up to order by the cashier area.
I ordered my food and informed the cashier that I was with my mother and pointed to where she was seated.
The cashier told me I had to pay in full before I sat down because “that’s how they did things”. Even though my mother had just ordered food for her and my father in law WITHOUT having to pay upfront.
I thought that the cashier’s behavior was strange but I paid for our food (all of us).
I sat down, ate my pastel and drank my caldo de cana while the food was still being delivered to our table by the same cashier who took our orders.
At this point my father in law was already with us. While eating, he decided to order another caldo de cana from the same cashier as she was still bringing us food. And guess what happened? Nothing. She took his order, brought it to our table and he enjoyed his delicious caldo de cana and paid for it AFTERWARDS.
Then we left TOGETHER, exactly how we arrived TOGETHER. So I have no idea why this cashier treated me this way. I have no idea who this person is.
The food was great but the service left a lot to be desired.
I was singled out for no apparent reason. So if possible, please train your employees to be consistent with how they take our food orders.
By the way, this was the FIRST time I entered your establishment. So I don’t plan on coming back at...
Read moreI went the other day and it was packed. I use to go here all the time before covid. The açaí is really good more of dessert at this place then a health food but that’s not the point. The service has always been low standards and the cleanliness of counters and chairs not so good either. My issue with It’s a self served place and no one in a mask. Covid definitely not taken seriously here at all. They do have somewhat of shield over the açaí and topping stations but at adult height. Kids were all over breathing and talking over the toppings. The fridge at the end where you get the other type of cream toppings has no barrier and I witnessed a woman serving cream over her açaí talking over the open fridge with contents exposed talking with her a child and the child put his finger in it to taste it. I walked out at that point. Was very disappointed. I really wanted açaí from there but sadly will not be going back until hopefully maybe they will read this and take greater caution when it comes to protecting their products from contamination and the consumers from being exposed to infection. In the very least they should require mask and clean or gloved hands to serve. Or ideally rethink how it is served. Think about all the hands touching the serving spoons and people’s droplets all in the açaí, toppings, utensils and...
Read moreReal Acai! They have self-serve! You can pick the size bowl you want, fill it with Acai, sugar-free Acai, strawberry Acai, and other flavors. Then, top away, the options are endless! But they include all the ones you see normally like fresh fruit, granola, Nutella and so so so many more toppings like powdered milk, to coconut flaks i mean it's alot to choose from and what great options! Then they weigh it and pay. It is less than the pre made ones or ones that are made to order, and you get to make it exactly the way you want! They have a cool vibe purple is their favorite color 💜 and the natural light comes in, but they have mellow lighting in the booths are comfortable as well as chairs inside and outside. All in all, i give it an A++ Go for it is fun making your own Acai creations. The hard part is not adding too much I can't say enough great things about this place. Their is no view, but hey, you just were at an Acai bar instead of a salad bar, and you will be enjoying your creation. Very reasonably priced! 100% recommend it. You can also get it to go as many did while I ate their with my friend. TRY IT YOU WILL BE...
