Heres an honest review not a negative or positive review. Its not a genuine Japanese restuarant. The staff is all non Japanese (Hispanic ). Nothing wrong with Hispanics since a well trained individual can make any food, but I dont think anything about the food is actually Japanese. Here is my point...The sashimi is extra thick and square in shape and the sushi doesnt taste good at all. The ginger tastes nothing like ginger and almost tastes rotten. Its also not a restaurant with a professional atmosphere during the daytime, I'm not a fussy person but I believe in respecting the restaurant business. When I go to a restaurant to eat I dont expect the staff to be loud and talkative. The customers, yes, but not the staff. Im writing this review for those who are looking for a genuine Japanese sushi restaurant. This is not one. Even Chinese plain sushi is better than this. But Im sure their other food tastes great besides the sushi considering the other raving reviews. Personally I felt cheated because I went there twice with an open, humble mind expecting genuine Japanese sushi. I regretted going. But this is not a negative review per say. Again, Im sure their other food tastes great. And as the other reviews say, their sushi tastes good to some. I am not racist. We all know for example that most Chinese restaurant food is made by Hispanics and that food is absolutely delicious. So this is not against Hispanics. But if you as a owner decide to have a Japanese restuarant...make sure its made the way the Japanese would at least! If not call it a sushi restaurant. But its misleading to call it a Japanese restuarant. I dont care who makes it or what race they are. But its not Japanese. I dont like to feel cheated out of...
Read more3 stars, Reason why because I found a mosquito or some type of insect in my Udon Tofu Stir-fry Noodle. At first, Me and my Husband thought it may have been herbs that got too burnt, but the closer we looked at it. We noticed it have legs and antenna... Yeah at the point I got gross out beyond belief. I tried to ignored it maybe it flew in while someone closed the food container but soon I started digging further into the udon.. yikes.. I found the rest of its legs... Yeah I threw the towel. I immediately contact the restaurant, report the issue to the. The person at the front desk I believed their name might be Veronic, I let her know what happened, I was told I would get a credit for my Udon when I decided to order from them again. She apologized for the incident, I told her thank you. It took 10 or 15 minutes for me to processes what happened but I decided that I did not want to order from that restaurant ever again, nor I wanted a credit, and I would like at least half the refund of what I payed for, I'll explain why. 3/10/2022 Was my Husband Birthday, they wanted to dine at home, order sushi from a restaurant. A friend of ours recommended that this restaurant they tried it and eat from them all the time. Of course it couldn't hurt, so we ordered almost $200 worth of food (it was a birthday meal) this is our first time ordering here. That's why I ask for at least half the refund on the check. I was a little shocked that they don't check the food before serving it or packing it away, it only spares 2 second of their time to do that. I was told they can't, not sure why not. I am grateful they were nice enough to give me the refund back, however I will not be ordering from this...
Read moreWhen I usually order sushi from restaurants around Boca Raton the portion sizes aren't always the greatest, so I tend to order an extra roll/handroll just in case. I asked for the Jasmine roll, spicy salmon, and a spicy tuna handroll; they did not disappoint. Extremely pleased with the amount of good sushi and the freshness and quality that they gave to me and my wife. The order was placed around 9:45 PM, mind you they close at 10:30 PM that evening. The staff was extremely nice and professional over the phone and the restaurant when we went to pick up the order. I also asked for a little extra eel sauce and spicy mayo, (god forbid if we came home without the extra sauces I would be sleeping outside), offered to pay any extra cost, and was given to me on the spot. Very nice and cozy sushi spot and they also offer many hot plates and entrees of Japanese cuisine. Highly recommend, but keep in mind the inside dining tables and sushi bar do not seat many people. I would call ahead if you are coming with a small or decent crowd. Thank you again for a great sushi...
