I dropped in to grab a salad on my way home from shopping. The store was pretty empty, which I saw as a positive since Panda Express next door was taking a long time and I just wanted to grab and go.
The staff member greeted me with “burrito or bowl” as his opening line. I asked for a salad (standard menu item). He repeated in a frustrated tone “burrito or bowl!”. I pointed at the salad greens behind the counter. He then replied angrily “burrito or bowl!!!”.
I said in a confused tone “they normally just make it in a bowl when I ask for a salad…are they putting salads in burritos now?”. He responded “no” and at that point I was thinking…”this doesn’t bode well for the rest of my order, why did we even go through all this?” and I left. Imagine if I would have ordered crunchy tacos (another standard menu item). Would have absolutely blown his mind. Maybe he would have wrapped my crunchy tacos in a tortilla if I said burrito…
Chipotle needs to train their staff better on menu items and customer service. They certainly charge enough to afford to pay for training. It shouldn’t have to be a struggle to give a corporation my money. I’ve never experienced this before in the 15 years I’ve eaten at the chain and ordered salads. Read moreI live less than 10 mins away from here and work down the road in one of the plazas that’s right on Mili & Hillsboro. When we heard that they were opening 3 new food spots in that plaza and that “Chipotle” was going to be one of them! We were all excited and happy!!! 1. Because we love Chipotle, 2. Because we only have certain options around us to choose from and 3. Because the location is so close to us. The food is and always has been great. The service and customer service has been good from all the staff, But I did have a bad experience with one of Employees who was working the register just because I asked a question. “ I thought the meals and orders came with chips and salsa?” And he immediately walked away telling the other worker in the Drive Thru to take care of this. “ You! Talk to him! “ Which he did and was very polite and explained what happened. Hopefully this doesn’t continue for anyone else in the future. It doesn’t matter if you have 50 good reviews, 1 bad/negative review due an employee being rude to the customer! Can honestly impact everyone else and that business location. You don’t know who anyone is or what they do or who they are in this community. And lastly, The hours on Google show that this store is open till 11pm. First of all where is the management in this location??!!! I’ve seen other location busy during busy hours while the lines are actually moving but not like how this location was. You could tell the employees didn’t even know what they were doing? I placed a pick up order on the mobile app for 1 quesadilla with fajitas I arrived to the location and realized there the drive thru was packed and long, no parking and waiting in the drive thru just to finally wait 42 minutes and realized they were not even trying to speak to the people on the drive thru….. we waiting this long just for them to ignore us. I decided to park and realized it was a bunch of mad customers like myself wanting to know why our orders haven’t even been made…. The employee literally had to make my order while I was waiting after I placed an order 1 hour ago. There was no employee in the cash register alone, not 2-3 employees taking our orders and only 1 in the back chopping up meat. This place was a hot mess on Friday.
