Like many people, I’m a huge loyal Starbucks fan. Since my son was 6 years old, we would have “Starbucks Saturday” where I would dedicate 1 hour to him, to talk about anything he wanted over my Grande Red Eye and a Starbucks apple juice. He’s 21 now. 🤗. And for the last 12 years I’ve worked remotely at various Starbucks locations so it’s like “home” to me. I’m writing this review because like I said, I’ve worked at many locations throughout the Chicago/suburban area, and I have to say that the Starbucks Deerfield location (Deerfield and Waukegan Rd) is hands down the BEST - best in service, best in atmosphere, best in food (always in stock) and the cleanest (which is a huge thing given not all locations are clean or have clean bathrooms). I attribute this all to the manager, Myron who hires the best people and I can tell, runs a well managed store. Being new in the area, they knew my name and my regular order by week 2. It’s a family atmosphere where the community who come here, are friendly and the staff are professional. One day I told the manager “I have to tell you this is the best Starbucks location I’ve ever been to…” and he said “thank you. I’ll share your feedback with the team”. That response explained it - great management, great team.
If you’re ever in downtown Deerfield and have a few min to sit down for coffee… come here…. and just take it all in. 🤣. Great friendly...
Read moreAfter mobile ordering a rare cup of coffee from Starbucks, I went inside to get it. While I was waiting for it to get made, I witnessed some great customer service given to what I can only describe as your typical “Karen”. The woman in front of me received her drink and when she picked it up, she said, rudely, “I ordered this drink to be extra hot.” The nice woman who made her coffee, who I found out after her name was Alicia(Probably butchered that spelling), responded with “absolutely we made that extra hot for you.” The woman responded with “Well it doesn’t feel hot on my hands.” Which is just an absurd thing to say considering she picked up a cup with a heat protector on it. Alicia responded immediately with an apology(even though clearly she did nothing wrong) and offered to remake her drink, another coworker also stepped in, who I found out his name was Sergio, and stated again they were sorry and they made the drink again, the exact same way they made the previous one and then the woman received her coffee. And sarcastically said, “that actually feels hot this time.” And she walked away. It’s just not often that you see good customer service in general today but to see it in the face of an extremely rude person. . . Super cool. Great work Sergio and...
Read moreMob scene, overworked staff, demanding clientele, and the Internet is not working! Try another store. Starbucks around Chicago is my mobile office. I have been to dozens and dozens of them throughout greater Chicago. You would expect this to be among the better stores, it being Deerfield, but it is one of the lousiest. Seems as if everyone here who needs WiFi just uses their own hotspot to avoid the issue. This being an affluent community, it is not surprising that folks routinely pay up for that premium service with their cell provider. Given SBUX’s recent sensitivity problem, you’d think they would be more accommodating, not less, especially to the less well-heeled, but frequent customers. This is also, btw, not at all a problem at my local store in Lake Bluff & 176, which has a great staff and offers a truly...
