This place is horrible! I recently stopped in to get 2 gyros and a pound of meat. The guy who was the only one working taking multiple orders missed putting one of my gyros into the bag. I didn’t notice until I got home, I called he APOLOGIZED, and said to come back he would take care of it. When I get there the owner was there and started YELLING at me telling me that they never ever make a mistake and that I was a lieing “N”. I’m African American and find this demeaning. I tried to explain to him that mistakes happen, I wasn’t upset just wanted it fixed. He continued to insult me and call me names. The man who made my original order even told him that he messed up and that he told me over the phone to just come back up and he would make it right. I have bought lots of food from them, however I will not be buying anymore and I hope that others will use caution when doing so. I could clearly tell the owner was racist and looks...
Read moreGreat little spot. The owner is super friendly and you can tell he loves what he does, which makes the place even better.
The prices are affordable. We ordered fried mushrooms, two combo platters, a supreme gyro and cheeseburger. Everything was great. The food was fresh and hot. Fresh vegetables. Fluffy pita. Great gyro meat. Surprisingly good hamburger. Even my youngest who hates everything loved her food. Generous portions, great value for your money. Drinks and fries are included with the meal which is a real bonus.
I would definitely stop here for an affordable lunch or dinner. The combo plate is massive and only $12 (with a drink) the supreme gyro with fries and a drink is $10 or less. You really can’t go wrong. I didn’t love the chicken on the combo plate but it wasn’t bad. Maybe the gyro meat is just so good it’s hard for the chicken to compete. Either way, this spot will be added to our...
Read moreI dont know what "WallaceFamily" is talking about. He must have gone on a bad day. I go to this Akropolis almost every Saturday because it is the best Gyro's i have had. Period. Better than the Mall, and better than the one on Air Depot. The owner Mike is a family man, been doing business here for something like 15 or 20 years, and he is a very interesting character to chat with while you eat. Atmosphere is "smokey", dim, and inviting. I dont like over lighted, overly sterile places with rude teenager employees, and overpriced food. This place is very affordable, generous portions, and well cooked meat. Best part? He sells beer! Nothing like Beer and a Gyro while watching the football/soccer game on a Saturday. Try getting a beer with your Gyro at the Mall! Heh. Mike is a local celebrity with many current and retired military members who frequent his Akropolis every...
