⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pawsome Place with Palate-Pleasing Food & Incredible Views! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Calling all pet parents and foodies! This place is an absolute dream! My husband, a friend, our adorable furbabies, and I recently had the best dining experience here. From the dedicated pet-friendly entrance (so easy!) to the comfy outdoor seating, the ginormous water bowl for the pups, and the incredible view, they've thought of everything. But let's talk about the food – it's seriously incredible! We shared everything family style, starting with the three baked oysters—fresh, briny, and bursting with flavor! For our mains, we dove into the generous three-piece fish and chips (a total steal from the lunch menu!), the perfectly crispy Brigg Classic Calamari Strips (so addictive!), and the star of the show: the lobster bisque. While it didn't have a ton of lobster, the bisque itself was incredibly flavorful and satisfying—I savored every single spoonful. Seriously, the food was so good, I completely forgot to take pictures until we were almost done (the almost-empty plates speak for themselves!). Combine the amazing food, top-notch service, and those breathtaking views, and you've got a recipe for perfection. This place is a must-try for anyone who loves great food, wants to bring their furry friends along, and appreciates a stunning vista!

Casual Cali spirit. Situated right across from the ocean, the restaurant boasts a costal stylish decor that complements its stunning surfside setting. The attentive staff and convenient valet parking make it a breeze to arrive and settle in, especially during the RaceTrac season. They have a cozy outdoor seating area ideal for al fresco dining. Most of the whole racetrack is highly visible, although a bit of a distance away. The food is a standout & consistently good. The delicately battered tempura lobster tacos are an absolute must-try. The combination of crispy, light batter and succulent lobster is simply divine. These tacos are a true signature dish! My guest's fish and chips were also impressive, with a generous portion size and a satisfying flavor profile. To top off the meal, we indulged in a decadent chocolate ice cream mud pie, a perfect sweet ending to the lunch. Having dined here on multiple occasions, I can attest to the restaurant's consistency. Whether it's a casual lunch or a special dinner with friends it delivers a consistently enjoyable experience. During the race season they really keep their pace up. And afternoons are casual enough for a very extended lunch. I'm not sure if on the day I visited someone was new at reception but they did seem to have room for a more polished approach.

I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the quality of their food and the stunning ocean views. The highlight of my meal was definitely the fish and chips, which were some of the best I've ever had. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside, while the fries were hot and delicious. I also tried the salad, which was fresh and flavorful, with a great mix of greens and toppings. The ambiance at Brigantine is unbeatable. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore creates a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for a meal with friends or family. The service was excellent as well, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure that our dining experience was top-notch. Overall, I highly recommend Brigantine Restaurant in Del Mar. If you're a fan of seafood, you won't be disappointed by the delicious fish and chips and fresh salad. And even if you're not a seafood lover, the beautiful ocean views alone make this restaurant worth a visit. It's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a family outing, or a gathering with friends.

The Brigantine in Del Mar serves some tasty dishes, and what it lacks on the plate it makes up for with its beautiful atmosphere and gorgeous views. I don’t want to make it sound like the food is subpar—it’s actually quite tasty, but perhaps not exactly elevated to the heights that the price would ideally reflect. The Wagyu burger is excellent, as is the BLT wedge, wok-charred ahi, and filet mignon. Service is great, and the atmosphere is very bright and open, with great views of the train tracks, fairgrounds, and ocean. The glass walls add to the spacious feel of the place. Overall, the Brigantine is a cheery, yuppy-ish kind of joint serving eclectic-enough eats that are creatively elevated beyond your local grill and use ingredients that rival some really high-end fancy spots. Two PSs: First, it ain’t cheap (but also not extremely expensive), so expect to shell out $50+ per person. Second, you’ll have to pay for valet (which is under $10) unless you want to find street parking and walk.

5 stars for our waitress Aiofe. She was absolutely incredible, kind and makes a bomb mai tai!! I gave 4 stars on food because I ALWAYS get the shrimp and grits and they were disappointing this time, and I've never been disappointed at Brig!! They were missing the lemon oil and hardly any chorizo flavor at all. My fiance also had the halibut and the fish had 0 flavor, but the stuff underneath was delicious and fish was cooked perfectly. Aiofe comped my shrimp and grits and gave us a creme brulee on the house. We were not expecting that at all! Very surprised and grateful for that kind of service as she did not have to do that, I was just letting her know so the chefs make the shrimp and grits right for the next person! Wonderful NYE brigantine experience thanks to Aiofe! We'll be back when they reopen in April just for her!! :) Happy New Year!! 🎊

Had so much fun at Brigs! Great place to go with friends, and dogs are allowed on the back patio! Great happy hour, place was busy, the valet was exceptionally careful with the car. Will return for sure!
