Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar — Restaurant in Del Mar

Went for Sunday lunch. No parking other than valet, but it was during the fair so this is to be expected. Luckily they only charge $5.

There were 8 of us at the table. Three of us got the burger. Very tasty, but overcooked across the board. This was, however, the right thing to order in terms of trying to get your money's worth, because everyone else was left hungry. The fish taco are actually cabbage tacos that are garnished with a 1"x1"x3" piece of fish. Similar sized fish pieces are used for the fish sticks, again giving the appearance of a garnish next to 2 cups of coleslaw and some fries. My mom ordered a dinner sized salad, and could have eaten two of them without even thinking about it (she is 5'2" and bit over 100lbs). We had a good laugh at how small the side salads must be.

The restaurant is terribly noisy, as there is nothing used to damped the sound anywhere in the place. My 70 year old dad and I were both having trouble hearing the waiter from across the table.

The views out the porch windows are wonderful, and there are certainly uglier places to eat. The service was good, and the food came out quite quickly considering how busy they were and that we were a party of 8 (they had at least two other larger parties there at the same time, too). The place is clearly well managed, it's just too bad they can't figure out there portioning. I know I am going to pay a lot to eat at a place with amazing views on the PCH - just give me the feeling that I'm paying a lot for something other than the view, even if I have to pay a little...

We’ve been coming to Brigantine Del Mar for over 20 years—and somehow, it just keeps getting better every single year.

Our most recent visit was truly next-level. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty thanks to the incredible manager Gabe, who went out of his way to secure us a very special reservation for our group of four. His professionalism and personal touch made all the difference and reminded us why this place has stood the test of time.

Gabe paired us with one of the most exceptional servers we’ve ever had—Caleb. He delivered nothing short of world-class service. Caleb memorized every detail of our order, anticipated our needs, and made each guest at our table feel genuinely valued and taken care of. His presence elevated the entire evening.

The views—as always—were spectacular. The vibe is vibrant, upscale yet welcoming, and the energy in the room is contagious. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re celebrating something big or just enjoying a night out with people you care about.

Hats off to the entire Brigantine team. This restaurant is a masterclass in consistency, hospitality, and top-tier service. Gabe and Caleb, you both made this visit unforgettable—and we’re already looking forward to the next 20 years.

Calling all pet parents and foodies! This place is an absolute dream! My husband, a friend, our adorable furbabies, and I recently had the best dining experience here. From the dedicated pet-friendly entrance (so easy!) to the comfy outdoor seating, the ginormous water bowl for the pups, and the incredible view, they've thought of everything. But let's talk about the food – it's seriously incredible!

We shared everything family style, starting with the three baked oysters—fresh, briny, and bursting with flavor! For our mains, we dove into the generous three-piece fish and chips (a total steal from the lunch menu!), the perfectly crispy Brigg Classic Calamari Strips (so addictive!), and the star of the show: the lobster bisque. While it didn't have a ton of lobster, the bisque itself was incredibly flavorful and satisfying—I savored every single spoonful. Seriously, the food was so good, I completely forgot to take pictures until we were almost done (the almost-empty plates speak for themselves!).
