Read moreWe went there on a Sat for a late lunch for 5 people. We were seated right away. There were only a.fee other tables there. The waitress brought us 2 water carafes and poured everyone a glass of water except my cousin. She only gave us a few minutes to get situated at the table, and we just started looking at the menu when she came over and asked if we wanted anything to drink. All of us just said water was fine, She asked if we wanted any appetizers, but since we literally just started looking at the menu, we said, "Ummm." Trying to look it over quickly. She seemed really annoyed and just left our table saying, "I'll come back" as she was walking away. She came back again several minutes later, and we placed our order. The food was ok. My sister ordered the Mac & Cheese with broccoli and said it was so bland and didn't even taste like a cheese sause. My cousin said her Red Chile CheeseTots were just ok. My niece had the SB Klub and said it was pretty good. My Grilled Cheese Shorty was yummy, and the fried were cooked well. The best thing was my husband's Strawberry Basil Crepes. Great flavor combo and not too sweet. I will say the waitress seemed annoyed to even be working and wasn't very pleasant. It wasn't even busy. Not worth the price for the ok food and...
Read moreLazy afternoon at the beach then an early dinner and first time at SBK... at the only occupied table with a long wait to place our orders, I noticed the chipped lip on my water glass. Backlit by the low sun, others were noticeable on nearby tables. I told our server. She pulled mine and one at the next table. She said they had a bad batch and were waiting for replacements, shrugged and walked off. I could still see other chipped rims from where I sat. Looking up I saw a broken ceiling lamp. It had large pieces of glass pointing down at my wife's head. She moved to the next seat. Behind her in the corner were two glass vases holding dead flowers draped down the sides. Food arrived. Looked nice, except for a limp brown leaf of lettuce on top. I set it aside and took a bite from under the vinaigrette poured over the top. Limp wilted greens. I was hungry so ate anyway. At least the weren't slimy. Chicken Shawarma was good. My wife's Caesar with salmon was okay, dressing bland, salmon dry but edible. Finishing up, a woman dressed like a manager or lead server walked in and asked how our meals were. I shrugged and said, "fair." She replied, "good enough," and walked on. Our experience? Meh,...
