Had a great trip to Solana Beach with our 2 dogs! Rules about dogs differ depending on the time of year….and time of day ~ posted signs attempt to explain! Street parking is easy, if it’s not busy! The stairs are iconic and the beach is beautiful ~ super cool rock formations! Definitely worth the trip!Pennie & Joe give big tail wags and look forward to coming back! 🐾🐾

What a great happy 😊 place to take your pup! The leash free dog park was wonderful 🐕 How could anyone be in a bad mood here? Highly recommend for any dog lover 👍 👍

Si raggiunge con una scalinata con una bella vista al tramonto. A sinistra avete la spiaggia con accesso ai cani, alla destra spiaggia libera. In molti vengono a fare surf o corsa in spiaggia. I cartelli dalla strada non sono ben visibili ma se si fa attenzione non si può sbagliare. Parcheggio lungo la strada.

Pros: Great of you're looking for a beach that's not so crowded and you want your dog (on leash during the summer) with you.

Cons: Little parking. There 2 very small (12 car) public parking that's free. If you cant find it in there, then good luck. No bathrooms. Lots and lots of stairs (not for the out of shape or if you have a lot to carry).

Keep in mind this is around the bend from Delmar dog beach. So if you had a bathroom emergency then you could walk the 150 yards to the dog beach...

Loads of stingrays in the water, I saw like 6 people get stung in an hour or so. The surf also really sucked and there is not much parking. Much better choices along the coast.
