Del Mar Shores Stairway to Solana Beach — Attraction in Solana Beach

Pros: Great of you're looking for a beach that's not so crowded and you want your dog (on leash during the summer) with you.

Cons: Little parking. There 2 very small (12 car) public parking that's free. If you cant find it in there, then good luck. No bathrooms. Lots and lots of stairs (not for the out of shape or if you have a lot to carry).

Keep in mind this is around the bend from Delmar dog beach. So if you had a bathroom emergency then you could walk the 150 yards to the dog beach...

Had a great trip to Solana Beach with our 2 dogs! Rules about dogs differ depending on the time of year….and time of day posted signs attempt to explain! Street parking is easy, if it’s not busy! Loads of stingrays in the water, I saw like 6 people get stung in an hour or so. The surf also really sucked and there is not much parking. Much better choices along the coast.
