Ordered A scallop dish it came to the table and it smells a bit fishy. I took one bite of the scallop after eating some of the vegetables and could tell instantly it was slimy and off. I alerted my Server and she got the manager to come over. I asked him to smell the dish and told him that the scallops were off and slimy and tasted sour. Then immediately had go to the bathroom and vomited all of the food that I ate, which was cream cheese, wontons, and half of an iced tea. When I came back from the bathroom, I told them I didn’t want to order anything else and I was still charged full price for the wontons and tea which I think is ridiculous. You just made me sick. You shouldn’t be charging me for what’s already in the toilet!! Don’t come here! I asked why I was charged for the iced tea and the manager said you drank half of it. I replied it’s in the toilet. He still insisted I paid for both the wontons and iced...
Read moreI ordered food to go here on Sunday, 12/15/24 at about 5:45. The woman said it would be ready between 6:09 & 6:19. When I got there to pick it up, there were like 20 people at least waiting for orders to go. I sat down and waited till almost 7, and hardly anybody had gotten their food in those 50 minutes. Finally we decided certain people wanted to get a refund and just cancel. She had a stack of orders that she read out that had not even been processed yet and mine was one of them. An hour later, I canceled my order because they had not even started it. How can a restaurant be so screwed up? When I asked for a receipt for the credit of my canceled order, she couldn’t give me one. She said it would be emailed. It’s been 15 minutes. She didn’t know when I would receive the email. I don’t know how a place can run in such a messed up fashion. I will never go back...

When Chins opened, we had hopes for at least a passable local Chinese alternative. We've tried twice. Both times the food was tasteless, poorly prepared, and without character. The first time, I blamed it on teething issues at a newly opened restaurant. The second time, I just discarded my entree.
I've lived in Del Mar fort many years. It's so sad to see a restaurant fall from delicious to discardable. I'll...
