I have been a faithful supporter of this establishment, that is until tonight. I frequent them 4-5 times a week for my small twist cone. Tonight I was spoken to and treated like absolute TRASH by some youngster in the drive thru (I didn't catch her name but younger girl that appears to have a damaged or missing front tooth). I handed her $2.44 exact change and she hands me the Icecream cone. I asked if was possible to have a new cone made because it was dripping down the cone and it looked like a finger slid 1/2 way across the icecream and Knowing that is not at all what it normally looks like. She comes back with a new cone that honestly didn't look much better and abruptly says "that's the best it's gonna get because of the machine" and before I could say no problem it'll satisfy my sweet tooth she says you know what I'll just give you your money back. I repeatedly stated it was fine I don't want my money back. I once again said ma'am it's fine I have already paid and want my icecream cone before it starts melting like the last one. She then placed my money on the drive thru ledge and said "no you didn't, you didn't pay yet". š³ in complete shock I asked for a manager and she was zero help. Defending the girl saying the machine is messed up (for the record I DID NOT MIND I UNDERSTAND MACHINES MALFUNCTION. That employee should have immediately been told to go home for the night and at bare minimum should have received a formal write up. I encouraged the store manager to pull video/audio footage from this interaction tonight. You've lost a faithful longtime customer over her behavior and treatment towards me tonight
Lastly, it's extremely evident this place severely lacks in customer service based on the influx of poor reviews. I'm not interested in receiving a generic "we apologize" email because it's apparent DQ is not interested in actually addressing and rectifying the issues and complaints customers are sharing because month after month the negative reviews continue being posted and month after month it's the same exact employees. This restaurant is only a few years old but yet when you walk in, you would think it had been there for many more years than that the servers were nice, but had a difficult time understanding what you wanted. The restaurant was dirty, the seats were ripped. The bathrooms were barely working and very dirty. The server grabbed me a handful of ketchup in packets immediately I noticed they were sticky and stuck together. It appeared to be some kind of clear liquid When I asked him about them, he said they were fine. Theyāre just sticky because of the weather, I told him I couldnāt accept these. He tried to hand me another handful from the same place. I refused to accept them so he went to the back room and got me some fresh ones. He put the packets that he originally tried to give me back where he got them from to give to some other unsuspecting person. The people behind the counter did not use gloves all the time, and it was not unusual for me to see them handling money, and then going straight to the food. But the language barrier was far too great and the dude behind the counter kept mumbling something I couldnāt understand. So I smiled and nodded my head as any other confused person probably would. I reiterated back aloud, yes, a number 12. I get my drink, sit down, he comes out with a number 4. Greasy triple stacked burgers with mozzarella mayonnaise and bbq sauce.
