This store is always a great place to shop for the best, fresh meats and vegetables, and the largest selection of foods. You can find just about anything you want here. This store is always "squeeky clean", the stockers and all employees are friendly, courteous and will stop whatever they are doing to personally take you to whatever item you are trying to find. Their sushi case is always continually freshly made by the sushi chef on staff. He will prepare whatever you want while you shop, if it's not already in the case. Wednesdays are $5 sushi days and many of the sushi items fall into that sale. We like California Rolls and I try to stop in often to take advantage of this great price. The deli and bakery always have large selections. The 5 multigrain Italian bread is my weakness. I usually can't walk away without a loaf. Their chicken wings are great! Our favorite is the non-breaded, spicy, hot wings. Their food prices are a bit higher than the "discount type" food stores, but the quality, freshness and selection Publix offers, in our opinion, is well worth a few extra cents. They even have a store policy that I encountered about a year or so ago. If an item rings up with an incorrect price, and you question it telling them the shelf posted price .. they will go check it out. If it's posted differently than what the register rings up, you get the item FREE! What a welcomed surprise that was! I don't know if that policy is still active, but if so, it really is great. Their baggers always ask if you need or want help taking the bags to your car and loading it. They will escort you to your car and load it for you. COMPLETE, GREAT FOOD SELECTION AND TOTAL CUSTOMER SERVICE .. A great combination. Also, you NEVER get an "attitude" if you interrupt a stocker's or employees work and request assistance .. as sometimes happens at other vendors locations. This Publix is our preferred "go to" place to shop. Try it .. I think...
Read moreI was driving through the Northgate Shopping Center, (on my way to Pet Supermarket to buy 🐕 food), and out popped a little beige and white stripped kitten from behind one of the conex construction boxes that's housing supplies for the new Big Lots Store. The little 🐅 kitten was wide eyed and scared because of all the traffic being diverted past its home. I proceeded on to Pet Supermarket and asked the employee for a couple of sample bags of kitten food that they give away .. and I also bought a mega bag of Temptations crunchy, stuffed salmon treats for my own cats just so that I could leave a bunch for the little 🐅!! When I got back to the parking lot, I parked a good distance away from the conex boxes as not to scare the 🐅 further. The 🐅 was gone!! I think he made a run for the border over to Taco Bell for some food 🌮🌮🌮!! (He didn't strike me as a Mexican food connoisseur but, one never can judge a book by its cover!!!) I went behind the conex box and layed out a bag on the ground in which to leave the kitten clean, dry food. I poured out half of each of the two kitten food samples I was given, one good sized pile of cat treats and, I left the little 🐅 a new Publix soup bowl full of bottled water; both of which I had in my car for my own 🐕's. So, all in all .. I have to rate and review my visit and experience at Northgate Shopping Center as follows; ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ... If this shopping center is good enough for my mexican food loving 🐅 to reside, it's good enough for me!! It has to be good, right??!! In my book, 🐅 obviously has good taste! So, to my kitty friend: remain cautious, safe, happy and healthy!! Rock on 🐅 and always continue to make good choices!! Hope to...
Read moreI just had a terrible experience at this location today. I went in to make some purchases and saw Roth sliced cheese BOGO in the deli cheese case. Two different varieties side by side, same exact packaging, both with large BOGO signs directly over the items. I decided to get one of each since it was a good buy and I had never tried that line of cheese. I get to the front and it does not ring up BOGO. I ask the cashier and she pulls out a binder, flips through two pages of the circular in a half hearted attempt to locate the item, and says "Nope I don't see it, Kraft is BOGO. You must have been looking at a sign for a different item next to it. People do that all the time around here." Well thanks for insinuating that I am not intelligent enough to read a sign. The bagger also chimed in and said "Yep, people do that all the time around here, it happens a lot." Both the cashier and bagger shared a chuckle. I was embarrassed and I felt belittled in front of the now long line behind me. I politely told the cashier I would take the issue up to customer service. It turns out that the two cheeses are two different price points and that's why it did not ring up ($5.69 vs $4.99). Misleading in my opinion as the signs did not indicate that you could not mix and match, generally with Publix you pay for the higher priced item and get the lower priced item free on BOGOS. I've been a Publix shopper for over 20 years and this is my first, and hopefully only negative experience I encounter of this caliber. I've never been belittled before at a retail establishment and I would have never thought it would have happened...
