TIjuana Flats — Restaurant in DeLand

I used to love this place but after yesterday’s interaction probably won’t be going back. It was 9:07 pm Friday night, closing time is 9:30pm, my husband and i decided to walk into this establishment we picked a few items off the menu which came up to $40. The cashier didn’t even explain that there was a promotion going on nor explained that my meal would be more because of the kind of meat i ordered instead she choose to argue with me about the pricing. When we were about to pay she decided to suggest that we sit outside because they will be closing soon. I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. My husband suffers from heat exhaustion and dehydration and she basically was saying we had to eat outside because they wanted to go. I asked if we can eat inside and she said you can but your meal will take about 10 minutes and we will be closing by then. So i sad outside then my husband started to feel uncomfortable because of the heat wave that we are experiencing. So i went back inside and told her that we are sitting inside she proceeded to say ok. We got the food and dessert at the same time because they were rushinggggg us outta there. My husbands shrimp bowl didn’t contain some of the ingredients but no one approached us about it. After getting the food in the middle of us eating it the cashier came over and asked if she can take the trays and if we are getting any more hot sauce because she was shutting it down. Mind you this is while us eating our rushed food we just got and there’s 13 minutes left to closing. It has to be the most terrible experience. And she was very nonchalant and ok with treating customers this way, like she has done it before but never again. They have lost my business. I wish i could give less then a star for...

We decided to dine here tonight.(9/11) Typically have never had a bad experience as we have dined here plenty of times even with large groups. I understand we came in late - it was probably 9:10. We were never greated and the employees had an attitude it was visible the eye roll we got when we came in. We placed our order, sat down to wait for our food. When the food finally did come - which was cold- we said thank you and couldn’t even get a simple response of “you’re welcome”. We were finished eating by 9:30 and got a box and left. When I chose a place to go, I typically want to support businesses that treat their customers with respect and don’t make them feel unwanted or like it is an inconvenience for myself and family to be there. Definitely a rather disappointing experience. I know employees want to go home but we ordered promptly, ate quickly and even cleaned our table before 9:30. I hope that this will not be allowed to be the standard here because we have always enjoyed...

litterally the first time i ordered my usual "ultimate chicken nachos", and was not full when i finished. my order had everything plus extra chicken and i kid you not i could pinch in two fingers how the entire amount of chicken. they also forgot guac, found a couple diced pieces of tomator very small amount of lettuce, and they doused it all with caso, i saw some sour cream on the top of the styrofoam lid but none on the food or atleast visually, didnt give us our salsa, forgot my kids apple juice with her meal. those that live in deland stay clear of this place its one thing to forget one item but to forget multiple things then skimp on overall amount of food and charge the same price. 90% of my food was the caso that filled my styrofoam container. go to orange city for this food. deland location wont last long doing this. i almost want to say this was done on purpose by a angry employee, hope there wasnt spit in my food now that i really...
