Guajillos Taqueria — Restaurant in DeLand

We are first timers and will definitely be coming back! Today was Valentine’s Day so they were very busy but we were still sat outside right away. It took them about 5 minutes to get to us for our drink order but it looked like the servers were tag teaming everyone together so a few people asked if we had ordered once we did. The staff was very attentive and each person checked in with us every time they passed our table. We never ran out of drinks and our chips and salsa. They also had a live band performing which was so much fun and the time passed enjoyably.

The food took a little bit to come out because they were so busy but the staff kept checking in and letting us know our orders progress. We were definitely not neglected. When the food did come out it was hot and DELICIOUS. My husband and I got the deluxe fajitas (chicken, steak and shrimp). The portions were large and we could have split it but now we have leftovers to look forward to. Overall it was a great experience with delicious food and friendly attentive staff and we are looking forward to...

Mexican Food and this place knows how to do it right! They offer a variety of drinks from Sangria and wines to Beer and drafts. They also offer Pepsi products, Lemonades, Jarritos, and Frescas. They bring you chips and salsa when you first arrive and their salsa is very fresh and homemade. I got the Deluxe Fajitas that is Steak, Chicken, and Shrimp... The fajitas was perfectly seasoned and well balanced ratio of onions, green peppers, steak, shrimp, and chicken. You go some places and it is mostly green peppers and onions... Not this place! The salad on the side is refried beans, seasoned rice, Pico de galo, sour cream, and guacamole all very fresh. They have 3 different kinds of tortillas. Flour, Corn, and homemade. I got the homemade and hands down it is so good! The only thing I want to mention is that it looked closed from the outside. If they got a light up Open sign I think it would generate more business because the food is fantastic. Really enjoyed dinner here tonight and I am so glad this place is here in DeLand! Can't wait to come...

Absolutely delicious! We are very familiar with Mexican cuisine having lived on the west coast and also Texas. The food was fresh and flavorful. Rice was fluffy and tasty, beans were smooth & seemed fresh. Steak Fajitas were prepared nicely with flavor and plenty of opera and onions accompanied with what looked and tasted like hand made soft tortillas. The flautas were perfectly crispy and not oily the meat filling were juicy, flavorful and not dry at all. They were generous with toppings of guacamole, pico and lettuce. My husbands quesabirria tacos were delicious and the consome had great flavor although did lack some heat. Just a little heat would have set the consome slightly up a notch. Otherwise, service was swift. Chips were crunchy and warm and salsa had a tiny bit of a kick not too spicy for my kids to enjoy. My horchata was so refreshing and hit the spot. As a family we give this place a 10/10! Can’t wait...
