Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Delaware

I came here a couple times because the first sandwich I got was pretty tasty.

Chicken Chipotle crunch was pretty good all around. No complaints. Capastrami was eh, the Pastrami itself was good but the slaw wasnt...it had a funny after taste 3.Meatball sandwich was simple yet freaking delicious i asked for cheese which was put on the bottom of the roll but maybe they need to add more to the top too and sprinkle some oregano on top but nonetheless this sub was my favorite. The hot bobbie... first off, I only ordered this one because the website said they had gravy. I don't typically like ordering turkey because it's generally dry but I like stuffing and I knew the flavor from the gravy wouldve took it up a notch. Plus I've had other "Thanksgiving" type sandwiches that were really good. Unfortunately they stopped selling the gravy at the location and this info wasn't updated on their website. So I ended up getting chips instead. I asked for SAUTÉED onions and hots. Apparently my sandwich was made already so they put it in a cup for me to add it later. To my surprise when I opened up my food at home. I got a cup of fresh onions that looked like they were removed from someone else's food since it had little pieces of pastrami in it. The sandwich was dry as all hell. I wish someone wouldve called me to tell me they didn't have gravy... I wouldve ordered something else.

Overall, 2 out of 4 sandwiches were delicious and I'd go back...

Outrageously poor service-lousy 'Bobby. My family is from Newark and we frequented that Capriotti for 40 years the one near the airport. At Lewes location ordered a "bobby' turkey, stuffing, cranberry on a roll with mayo- tall blond/grey lady grunted at me during order- then stated"step aside ' so she can order" in a nasty tone of voice,never cracked a smile. I asked for toasted roll - you may have thought I asked for something impossible- she yelled out- "toast her roll" like I was really bothering her. What I got was non toasted cold roll, with cold turkey, ice cold stuffing, and ice cold cranberry slathered across top of roll(not in roll). This lady was bossing a young girl around as well who worked there.Threw this mess away at next stop trash can- disgusting-total waste of $14-will never go here again- so sad when a good old place like this in Newark goes franchise and then goes straight downhill-ruined a once great sandwich that used to be served warm throughout just like Thanksgiving dinner all...

I delivered the provisions such as turkey breast mayonnaise pickles and peppers to the store. We were delivering me and my helper were delivering on a particular Wednesday to this capriotti's. The owner was there this day and he was very very busy so we offered to put the order away for him to throw us some cheesesteaks... After we put the order away and he gave us the cheesesteaks... HE WANTED US TO PAY FOR THEM! WE ASKED HIM IF YOU GIVE US SOME CHEESESTEAKS WE WILL PUT THE ORDER AWAY FOR YOU AND HE SAID YES AND OF COURSE SHE SEES US PUTTING THE ORDER AWAY WHICH IS NOT OUR JOB! AND WHEN WE EXPLAINED THIS TO HIM AND WE LEFT WITH THE CHEESESTEAKS HE CALLED OUR BOSS AND HAD ONE OF THE SALESMEN PAY FOR THE CHEESESTEAKS!
