Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Delaware

I came to the Wilmington Rita’s waterice twice this week with a coupon from RecycleBank on my phone for $1 off a $5 purchase. My first trip there the manager informed me he needed a printed copy to have to send back to cooperate. Understandable, I work in the restaurant business myself and know how those kind of things work. Printed out a copy and came back a few days later. Waited again by the same very sweet employee she goes to grab the manager to get approval, and this time he says he can’t accept it. When I ask why all he can say is “This is a fake coupon. Ours our colorful” bewildered I ask him why he didn’t tell me this when I was there the other day with the same coupon on my phone, with which he didn’t have a valid answer. He suggested I contact coorperate saying “it is what it is.” So because the coupon was completely legitimate and had the accurate Rita’s waterice Logo and fell within the expiration date, didn’t have any restrictions on location or anything I decided to venture to Kirkwood Highway’s franchise where they happily and with no questions asked accepted the coupon recognizing that it was valid and redeemable. The girl who waited for me was overjoyed that I had a printed copy of the serial number under the barcode so at least saving her the trouble of having to write it down from my phone so I guess that’s one thing he did right. I’d suggest someone from coorperate educating at least the Wilmington manager properly so this isn’t an issue for...

I usually always get a large gelato with vanilla custard and mango waterice, *without a lid! Obviously it's my personal favorite of all the flavors and add-ons available.

Tonight I switched it up- just a little bit but WOW! it made a huge difference. Instead of getting my regular vanilla custard, sometimes it loses the flavor 1/2 way through, so I substituted SALTED CARAMEL with MANGO and it was AMAZINGLY very tasty... All the way to my last gulp 😃

Sooo, I say live on the edge a little... Shake things up and try different things! (Pun intended,🤪) You only live once!!!

I'm impressed everytime I go to Rita's they always have a mind-blowing selection of flavors and add-ons; their counters and work areas are always clean know matter how busy they are; but most of all, their employees are super friendly, they don't mess/play around when there's a line of customers, they really do have great customer service!!!

Me and my boyfriend got there at 845 pm and the location closed at 9pm. When we walked up to the window, the young girl with black hair in pigtails loudly huffed then takes our order , she goes to her guy co worker with an Afro walk up and they laugh and talk about us WHILE WE STOOD RIGHT THERE. Then her co worker walked up to us and asked if we wanted to order anything else in the second we started talking. He walked away and laughed and said he wasn’t going to get us anything. Then when she came back to ask us if we needed another item, I told her yes, she angrily stepped back huff and shock her fists as if she was trying to hold her self back. We told them we needed nothing else and went to pay and her male coworker walks up again and asked if we need anything else after we said no obviously laughing and making fun of us. I’ve never gotten such bad customer service had to read this before and honestly, this was disgusting. These kids shouldn’t be in customer service jobs acting that way...
