I brought my wife here for her birthday tonight, and unfortunately, we had the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant—especially one that presents itself as a luxurious dining establishment. I don’t usually write reviews, but I believe feedback is important.
We were seated at 8:10 PM, and our server, Sebastian, never introduced himself or welcomed us. We ordered drinks, and about 30 minutes later, we tried to get his attention to place our food order. However, he rushed past us repeatedly without stopping to discuss the menu or ask any questions. When my wife voiced her concerns, he responded dismissively, saying, “It’s a Saturday.” While we understand that weekends can be busy, a simple apology and a more professional attitude would have been expected.
When we finally managed to place our order, he didn’t take the time to go over the menu or provide any explanations. The food took an exceptionally long time to arrive because he had apparently given the kitchen the wrong order. He assured us he would fix it on the check but nothing was done. On top of that, he never once checked in to see how our meal was.
We addressed our concerns with the manager, but it seemed like whatever was said had no impact on Sebastian’s behavior. Again, we understand that Saturdays can be hectic, but that shouldn’t excuse a lack of basic hospitality—no greeting, no menu guidance, no check-ins.
The food itself was excellent, but our experience was completely overshadowed by the poor service. Unfortunately, because of this, we are giving one star. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed, especially since this was meant to be a special night. I truly hope management addresses these issues so that other guests don’t have the...
Read moreMy wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Campi in Delray Beach, and I must say it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Campi's interior exudes rustic Italian charm, creating an inviting and romantic atmosphere, setting the perfect stage for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're on a date night or a family dinner, the ambiance at Campi is perfect for any occasion. The service at Campi is top-notch. Our server made us feel like honored guests, which enhanced our dining experience.
Ah, the food! Campi truly excels in bringing authentic Italian flavors to Delray Beach. We started with the Arugula Fennel Salad, Beet Salad and Tuna Crudo, and all were a burst of freshness and flavor. For our main courses, we tried the Agnolotti Short Rib, Angry Lobster Raviolo, Rigatoni Carbonara, and Branzino. Each of these dishes were impeccably prepared, with fresh ingredients and perfect seasoning. The Agnolotti Short Rib was a symphony of textures and flavors, a true testament to the art of Italian pasta making. The Branzino was a culinary masterpiece. Each forkful melted in the mouth, revealing layers of subtle flavors. It was a dish that not only satisfied the palate but also celebrated the simplicity and elegance of Italian cooking at its finest. We couldn't resist sharing a Salted Caramel Budino for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
In conclusion, Campi in Delray Beach, FL, is a gem of a restaurant that captures the essence of Italy. Whether you're a fan of traditional Italian cuisine or just looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend giving Campi a try....
Read moreAn elegant renovation of the previous Embers grill in the Ray hotel. They did an awesome job, great atmosphere and vibe. Starting off at the beautiful bar with a walnut Negroni, delicious! Upon being seated, our waiter Billy, who was extremely attentive and courteous, offered water options and complimentary bread and small charcuterie plate, a nice touch. We shared an arugula and fennel salad that was excellent. My wife ordered the squid ink pasta with scallops, I ordered the chicken parm and we ordered the short rib agnolotti for the table….because the table has to eat too! Flavors of both pasta dishes were outstanding. For me, I felt the chicken parm seemed weighed down by the heavy (vodka style) smoked mozzarella sauce, the good news was the filet was pan fried. The bad news is they left it way too long under the salamander. All dishes arrived at the same time, good! Chicken parm temp was just shy of the surface of the sun, while both pasta dishes were warm and arrived with little plastic dome tops which they removed upon placing down. If I’m paying north of $30 for a pasta dish, it better be hot, not warm, too bad, because like I said, flavors were exceptional, just wish they were hot. I struggle with how knowledgeable chefs who know fresh pasta dishes take 60 seconds to cook and chicken parm, much more than that, can’t execute both leaving the kitchen hot for a 5pm reservation. Living close by, I’ll return again and eat a salad and pasta dish at the bar and be...
