Nice southern hometown atmosphere. I arrived at Sande’s around 11:00am Saturday morning. We were able to choose our own table although we were offered to sit in the back of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I don’t sit in the back of restaurants. Our waiter Nikki was very pleasant and sweet natured. She checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was awesome! The grits and bacon is to die for. I think this place is Delray’s best kept secret. The waffles and pancakes were pretty big and fluffy. The French toast was delicious and the orange juice was pretty good. The syrup is a little watery but it complemented the French toast well. The prices are pretty reasonable. I paid $42.00 for 4 people. They only accept cash but there’s an ATM inside of the restaurant. Once you order, your receipt is on the table, so when you finish eating you just take your receipt and pay at the counter. Yes, I will return again!

I lived in this area for four years and back to do some work and how I never visited here before is beyond me. In searching for a place, I saw their menu and saw they have Creamed Chipped Beef, my breakfast go to. I’ve come to find that a lot of places in Florida use food service SOS, and not that it matters I like to ask, just so I know what I’m getting, and that’s what they have, one of the few items as such. Bailey took my order and despite asking for my toast on the side and SOS over my hash browns, she was very accommodating. The meal was excellent. I’ll definitely be back to try their other items, including Hot Open Faced Roast beef, that Bailey said was pot roast and not deli sliced roast beef, same with their Roast Turkey. I can’t imagine getting a bad meal here, especially with a packed restaurant. The locals can’t be wrong.

Came back after a couple of years from out of state, and searched best breakfast burritos and couldn’t believe this place didn’t show up in the Google search. Determined, I knew there was no way they closed this place own and relied on my memory to find this place. No disappointments! This spot has the best breakfast burritos and I’m confident the rest of their menu won’t disappoint. Cash only, but there’s an ATM inside so be ready! A legit diner/ cafe and worthy of recognition. Edit: If you want more on it, just ask for it. “Have it your way”, always. Oh, and if you want to be discrete with your mimosas, it’s a good spot to get your sips. 😉

Sande's is an amazing little joint that gives you a lot of food for your money, it's a wonder and a joy that they're still open with what you get for your dollar. The food is phenomenal, be it lunch or breakfast, and the service is amazing. The atmosphere is plain, it's a little 50's style diner with a lunch counter overlooking the kitchen. Waitresses call back to the kitchen for orders and questions and you're brought back to a simpler time where all that's on your mind is the plate of eggs and ham in front of you. The service is good, food's never taken long enough to come out for me to question why it's not here yet. Waitresses are so nice and friendly that it's almost suspicious, I've never had an unpleasant encounter or conversation with any employee here. The woman at the register who also answers the phones for calls and take out orders is absolutely one of the friendliest people I've ever met and is a good example of who will be serving you when you come in. Sande's is criminally overlooked, not a lot of people come in for fear of it being a gross buggy restaurant, for fear of having rude servers serve overcooked and rotten food, or whatever else. If you're like me, any nice looking restaurant that doesn't seem like it's a chain is appealing, that's where any business that doesn't come from word of mouth, comes in. If you're in the area and even if you aren't, you should factor a trip to Sande's...

One would think after being Shut down from Covid19 for several months that when reopening you would make triple sure when serving your clients that everything is spotless!! Today was my first time back in a Resturant and this was my experience. I ordered 2 poached eggs which come a a white bowl. My waitress brought me the dish and it had a BIG BLACK BEARD HAIR!!! I said to her Nobody saw this, and she said I'm very sorry sir... I told her I can't eat now I have leave. She said I understand. Not to cause a stir in the Resturant to their patrons I got up and left. I then called to speak to the owner as she knows that I come in often. Apparently the waitress told her because she new about the situation when I called. To my surprise she really wasn't so apologetic and made it out to be not a big deal. One would think that she would have said OMG I can't believe it please come back anytime and lunch is on me, I know your always here... (Not that I will ever go back and could care less about the $10). I just can't believe and owner would disregard this as no biggie! I guess my business is not important to them,, I am a business owner myself and learned a long time ago that 1 person will tell 10 people and 10 people tell 100,,,, Bad news...

Oh Sande's, oh how you won my heart and stole me from the Green Owl I live for your CHICKEN SALAD! I love getting eggs and toast but SANDE you make it impossible with that damn chicken salad!! The marble in the rye, gah stop, chefs wet kiss! The perfectly balanced taste and chicken shred proportions, you may be thinking how could someone mess this up? Easy, most places nearby advertising chicken salad must hate puppies and finding money on the floor with what they put in front of you. I get the full Monty, toasted rye, onion, tomato, lettuce - I personally add salt + pepper but this is not a complaint! Sides wise I get the potato salad or the coleslaw - SANDE has done it again! I think you ruined me with your perfect chicken salad and perfectly crafted sides. My server gave me malt vinegar for my coleslaw, I couldn't believe what an upgrade this became. Diner sensation. The staff is super friendly, the chicken salad is spot on, ice coffee will lift you outta your booth and spank you into your car! My best friend and I really didn't want to love you due to our love of the Green Owl, but I can't stay away! Oh and I absolutely love the decor, please never change it, it's everything a...
