King Kong Milktea & Smoothie — Restaurant in Denham Springs

I'm going to chalk it up to a bad time of the day or something because they had really bad matcha the one time I went there. It's dark green almost brown and tastes real bitter. Kind of like Starbucks but worse. Then it was more expensive? If you have matcha at home, just do that or find somewhere else(like espresso geaux).

Also didn't feel very comfortable ordering but maybe that's just how they treat everyone. Not sure if it was the owner or not but there was a dude just silently standing near the register watching me. Never did speak. Even the cash register lady never really said anything other than "what do you want". Maybe I just looked like the type of folks they don't like. And maybe they have decent tea and just awful matcha. Either way, not a good experience at all. Definitely won't be trying again.

One more thing. Ordered two matchas for 20 dollars! and they were both almost half empty at point of service and everything about them was awful. The matcha powder itself seemed worse than jade leaf. The workers are friendly and reliable, y’all should try the signature and Japanese milk teas they taste very relaxing, the classic fruit teas are calm and refreshing as well.If y’all haven’t tried the ice cream waffle it is delicious, it taste so soft and the right amount of cold, and the ice cream makes me feel happy, especially when I eat it with my friends.
