We got a pulled pork potato and a burger with "potato salad." I put potato salad in quotes because it was literally mashed potatoes with some pickles. There were NO chunks of potatoes, no mustard, nothing but pickles. The potato was ok. The burger was a premade patty like you might get from Sam's. They charge $1.25 to add cheese. They covered about half the burger with shredded cheese. Not $1.25 worth of cheese; they gave us more when requested, but of course it was cold and now we have cold shredded cheese on the $9 burger. We were sitting right next to the kitchen door. The employee walked out of the kitchen, past our table, to the front counter, answered the phone, then several minutes later brought my food to me that she had had in her hands when she passed our table. This was easily the driest burger I've ever eaten. Side note: the employee who took our order had very dirty fingernails. The problem is she then went in the back and was prepping our food. Suffice it to say that this place is ONLY for potatoes, and even then the cleanliness of the kitchen is questionable. PS: on their menu, they list "butter" in quotes. This means they are not using actual butter. PS 2: it was easily 80°+ degrees in there. They had a fan set up on one of the tables. When it's 100° outside, you need to have working air...
Read moreOk. It’s not about atmosphere. It’s about the potatoes. Those delicious and YUGE potatoes fully loaded and at just the right price for a tasty lunch. All self contained and ready to go.
What I really like about the baked, loaded potatoes even more so than the taste. Is, they tend to retain their heat for quite a long time. This is great. Because you could pick one or two up on the way home from work. Fight traffic. Get home and voila’ just chow down. No need to reheat unless you take 2 hrs to drive home everyday.
The potatoes are similar to the ones at Jason’s Deli but with more variety and most importantly they are indeed freshly made. Not premade/frozen.
Sometimes, you don’t need or have time for a 3 course extravaganza. Sometimes all you need is just a good old fashioned loaded, baked potato.
PS. These rascals are ( again ) huge and generously loaded. They will...
Read moreTonight was my first time trying Spectacular Tubers and it was SO good! We got BBQ pulled pork, Buffalo and they're trying out a Roast Beef one so we got that. They were all amazing! Especially the experimental one, holy cow. The potatoes were massive and had tons of toppings on it so we all left full, which was a concern of mine before we went. Husband said the shrimp and corn soup was also very good. It was also very clean and the manager (i think? Or maybe owner idk) was super nice and attentive. Food was also hot and fresh. Just all around such a great experience,...
