Red Nun Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Dennis

Normally great food great service... this mid afternoon snack left us wanting more! We went in looking for a little something before heading to the fair, knowing how big the nachos are we decided to split the order and have a few ice teas. Granted it isnt a very exciting check but being 2pm on a Wednesday in an empty restaurant with 3 servers, a hostess and bartender sitting around doing just about nothing you would think they would have been happy to have some business.

After being ignored by the hostess for a few minutes a server sat us, then the same server eventually came 5o take our drink orders letting us know our server would be over to take our food order in just a bit even though we were ready. A little while later our young server came over took our order and disappeared! The hostess returned with delicious nachos then came back with sharing plates, napkins etc. that were clearly someone else's responsibility to bring us. After eating our fill, asking the bartender for drink refills, and waiting 20 or so extra minutes we finally asked the bartender for our check as we had not seen our waitress at all (that's a lie I could see her hanging out in the booth by the kitchen playing on her phone the entire time, but she couldn't see us). He then proceeded to shout across the restaurant to get her attention and she slowly made her way to us wondering what we wanted, um the check, duh, we have been here an hour! (And a to go box, seriously the nachos are huge!)

I feel bad not tipping a solid 25% or 30% as I waitressed for many years but I could not bring myself to do so in the case of this twentysomething, long blonde haired, gal... I hope she finds a career...

I went here when it opened and honestly hated it. I ordered fish sticks and it tasted like it was from the freezer. I never checked to see if they were still on the menu... Anyway, thank you Cape Cod Restaurants group on Facebook. A lot of people were saying the best veggie burger on the Cape is your "Buddha Burger" and boy they were right! That was the most delicious thing I've ever had in my life! Indian food and spice lovers, this is definitely for you. I was very impressed. I'm a vegetarian so a lot of restaurants like this I have limited choices. My boyfriend and I stopped here before a movie, I was hesitant because of my last time eating here but based on reading about the Buddha Burger he was insistant on us trying there. The hostice was very accommodating and gave me a lower table because of my cane. We were supposed to see a movie and we probably got there at 8:30. The service did take a minute but it was later at night. We missed our movie but it was worth it. The playlist was incredible, they were playing songs by Neil Young, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Margo Guryan, Lemon Pipers, and Joni Mitchell. My boyfriend and I are picky and hate very loud atmospheres and environments. This place was perfect for us and we both loved it so much. The arcade games were limited but very fun! It was definitely worth missing the movie for. The best burger and restaurant playlist ever. We will definitely return. Everything about this place was perfect for us. I don't think I'd be able to live with myself after avoiding this restaurant for almost 10 years!!! Some of the best food...

giving another star for the food actually being good. cooks did a great job. if i was only reviewing the food itself, i'd give it 5 stars. never in my entire life have i had a waitress or waiter complain about a tip. my partner left a review earlier about this as well since i took both of us out to eat. i'm not a tourist and do live here. currently struggling financially but had enough money to spare for a dinner since we haven't eaten out somewhere for over half a year. it caught me off guard when our waitress (girl with dark hair and a ponytail) thought my tip wasn't big enough, then walked away without saying "thank you" or "have a good day." incredibly disrespectful, and i've worked in multiple different customer service types of environments before, including jobs where you rely on tips. the other waitresses who filled our water, brought our food out and made sure we both had everything we needed were wonderful. our waitress was even halfway across the room before i could say "the food is good" in response to her asking if it came out well. to the waitress with the dark hair and ponytail who complained, sorry i'm not rich enough for you or can't afford...
