My husband and I will never be going to this location again. It started off okay, the waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there and was half-listening the first time we said our order. Everything went fine with dinner. We did the 2 for $25, I had the chicken and shrimp with green beans and my husband had the 6oz with green beans and broccoli. The green beans and broccoli were bland and mushy. My chicken and shrimp were okay. My husband's steak was cooked how he asked. But, our waiter checked on us once while we were eating. He only asked if we wanted refills on our drinks as we were paying the bill on the machine.
We had a gift card for $25 that we've had for a while. Never used. My husband used it on the machine, entered a certain amount, it said it went through and said it was paid. He pressed for a receipt. The screen changed and told us we had a remaining balance of what he had just paid. So, he tried it again and it said 15 cents was all that was on the card and that's all that was used. We call for our waiter, he states that we only had 15 cents on the card so we owed what was on the screen. I said no that we had already paid and now it's saying we didn't. He went to find the receipts. He came back with the one for 15 cents. Showing us that was the only thing that came through. We ended up paying with another gift card we had for $25, but I still wanted to know where our other payment went.
He got a manager (Annie? Abbie? probably neither of these) who came over with an attitude from the beginning. She was upfront with the fact that we were wrong and she was right. I even pulled up the transaction history for the card and she didn't believe that was accurate. She called the number for Applebee's gift cards. They informed her of the same information I pulled up on my phone. I happened to see a receipt she had in her hand for the same amount my husband just paid. I pointed it out to her and said we paid another table's bill. That was the EXACT amount my husband paid, but not our bill. Turns out, the table before us was never closed out by the waiter. So, we ended up paying someone else's tab plus ours.
What did the manager do? Blew off the fact that her employee messed up. She laughed about it like it was funny. It was a mess. She gave us our gift cards back, we used one for our meal. No compensation. No apology. We get a laugh about how we argued that we were right and she was right. I don't see how that's funny. That's NOT the way you handle a situation where your employee messed up and you argued with your customer. Unprofessional.
Moral of the story: DO NOT use the computers at the table or go to...
Read moreorder the 2 for 34.00. was brought the wrong appetizer when we did finally get it, then it was more kike a veggie cream soup consistency. I had ordered me a steak was to be medium well. it was medium rare more on the (rare side). sent it back, brought me the same plate with my sides, which are cold by this time (same ones as the first trip to table. I saw the area I previously cut looked cooked more, so I cut in another area, and it was rare. I even had the waiter wait for me to check. so he reached for the plate. I asked if I could just at least eat the mashed potatoes and green beans bc I was ready to eat "something." and he was confused as to I wasn't having them take the same steak back a 2nd time to fix, I wasnt going to eat it and asked for the manager or why she didnt bring it out the 1st time it was sent back. I finished my sides and never saw the waiter again. I caught the attention of the host and asked him to go ahead and take the same oriental steak back to the manager and asked for it to be off my bill, please. he was polite and took the plate, i waited for the company i was with to finish and if my steak wasnt briught back before they finished i was going to ha e it off my meal amd it never was taken care of, never seen my waiter pr manager during that time . Again, no manager! the waiter came finally, and I told him I needed the bill adjusted due to the steak issue, etc. he came back with a 3 dollar and some change discount. mind you, the meal itself was over 34.00 after tax. so this was my discount?? i again asked for the manager. she finally came. I asked why she never came the 1st time the state was wrong like most restaurants do. she said she was clueless on most of what happened. it was a battery issue with the thermometer for the meat, said it read different temperatures on the cooking service, then on the counter or plate. Does no one know how to touch a steak to feel how cooked or uncooked it is?? i asked for her to do better on my discount for all the issues. I got the discount I should've been provided from the moment the steak was returned to the kitchen. and the manager should have been more on top of things in the restraunt. And 1st getting there i had to grab the waiter that came to greet us, bc the woman's restroom and poop 💩 all on the seat. the knives weren't cleaned well and it was in all the worst experience going to eat there much less at any restraunt. they are dropping the ball at this location and it is totally fixable on...
Read moreAt the last minute, I decided that I wanted to take my mother out for drinks & dinner and since I knew that margaritas were on sale, for a dollar during the moth of October, I figured this was going to be my choice of restaurant. Now, I haven't been here in years bc some of the last times I was there, I wasn't too delighted with my visits. Anyhow, as I said, I went here for dinner and drinks. My servers name was Caroline and she was very pleasant and great! Food was out quick and she always made sure that our drinks were available for us. When we were all done with our food and ready for to go containers, the manager, Shannon, brought them out for us. Not only did she bring them out for us but she put our food in the to go container for us. Shortly afterwards, we quickly stepped away from our booth and when we came back, my mothers to go food had already found its way to the trash. At this point, we relocated to the bar area. We informed our bartender, Reese, what had happened and he let us know that he figured there would be no problem in having that food replaced. In fact, he stated that all he needed to do was to inform his manager, which he did. Shortly thereafter Shannon delivered our to go food to us. Matter of fact, since she packaged it for us, she remembered that we also had the bit of spinach artichoke in our to go box. So, not only did she replace the Fiesta Lime Chicken meal but, she also replaced our appetizer. She did not have to do that but, she did. And, never ONCE did it appear to be an issue to her or our bartender. It actually appeared to be a pleasure to them to make sure that we were completely satisfied. Which, we absolutely were! All in all, I am completely satisfied with my dinner date that I had with my mother. Needless to say, our night would not have been what it was without the wonderful customer service that we received. All thanks to Shannon,...
