My wife and I have been loyal customers for years. At this point I won't be coming back for a while at least. Generally they have good customer service, but just like every restaurant from time to time we encounter some mistakes, or occasional outages of items.
Today I felt insulted by a staff member / manager or lead. I came the other day and they made a mistake with my order. I didn't realize it till I got home and was getting ready to leave again for work so my wife called and let them know. I always ask for Wicked seasoning on my chicken if it's not the Wicked Wings itself. They forgot to put the wicked seasoning on. My children & I can enjoy the chicken without it, but for my wife it's a must-have.
So my wife called and let the manager know of the mistake, as well as informed her that this has happened a couple times before and we hadn't been there in a while because of it. The manager informed us that they were pretty busy trying to get ready for closing and they probably just forgot to put the wicked sauce on and offered for us to come back that night or another night for replacement. She told my wife it was no problem as long as we had the receipt.
I came back today and the manager tried to tell me she expected me to bring the whole meal back like she told my wife, when I informed her that that never was discussed and if I came back that night I would have expected to bring the meal back but I did not plan to because we were told all we needed was a receipt. She then said she would only replace the chicken because it was a big meal.
She seemed like I was an inconvenience to her, when it was my inconvenience because I didn't get what I paid for the first time and my family wasn't satisfied and I had to come back and waste more of my time which I believe is valuable.
I later a told her good customer service goes a long way & I didn't appreciate her comment about it being a big meal.
I explained to her that i provide a lot of business, whenever my church family comes in town we order here. I have siblings that have moved in from out of state, whenever we have Gatherings or get-togethers this is one of my places of choice and I've spent big money here, and my family and friends have spent big money here on my behalf. So that comment really rubbed me the wrong way as if was trying to get over on their mistake....

Read moreJust went to Golden Chick in Denton. I drove across town because I wanted their dirty rice. I get there and order a 2 piece combo with dirty rice and a Pepsi drink. When I got home I was ready to eat my food but had to do a couple of things first. Once I sat down to eat my food, I removed the chicken from td he box, opened my vegetables and there were GREEN BEANS! I was so angry. .I did not want to drive back because it is very chilly outside. Then I took a drink of my Pepsi and it was 88% syrup! This is awful. There was no one at the place when I went there around 7pm. So why could they not get one order right and if you changed the tank on the fountain drinks did you not check to see if it was mixing correctly? No customers and what are your employees doing with their extra time besides waiting for closing. I have worked in the food industry and this is unacceptable. Poor management. I was the only customer and you couldn't even get my order straight? The reason I am writing is because this happens alot at this location. After waiting in drive thru for 15 minutes to get to the speaker to order ordered 2 seafood platters, large corn nuggets, and family chicken salad. First of all, the put cold chicken salad in the sack with the hot food! Then we were told after getting to the window literally 10 minutes later that we needed to pull around and it would be fine in five minutes. That allows them 15 minutes for fish that cooks for 7 minutes! Pulled around and it was 11 minutes before we got our food and upon getting the food not only was it cold but it looked like a plate for a kid. The 2 fish filets aren't what they are at other golden chicks and the 2 shrimp were freezer burned! The blonde kid at the service window was too busy and not interested in what we had to say!
