I'm a regular here. I go here all the time with my best friend. The food is great and the atmosphere is nice, that's not why I'm rating it so low.
The reason for the one star review is that I decided to get take out today and my card kept declining. A bit weird, but it happens to everyone and isn't really anyone's fault. The woman taking my order just kept telling me it wasn't working and I didn't have cash on me or any other form of payment so i just ended up leaving.
I went to the kroger nearby instead and i was afraid my card was gonna decline there, so I checked its balance in my bank of America app and It said I had been charged at hanabi despite not getting food. I went back to hanabi, maybe 30 minutes after my initial visit, and they had just closed. I explained to the people in the building what had happened and they didn't really know what to do so they called what i assume is their manager and put him on speaker phone. They seemed to not take me seriously and almost not believe my story. They said there were no open checks and the manager basically just told me to wait a few days to be refunded and that sometimes it doesn't work(?). I dont think he understood what had happened and I ended up just leaving confused and defeated.
I don't usually write a review for places and I never pull this card but as a regular I expected more than this. I have no money for food now and I wasn't even reimbursed with cash or anything. I had proof. I work at Starbucks and I know how dealing with customers should be like and how it shouldn't be. I am shocked at how bad the customer service was here and I have no idea if I'll be even getting my money back. I'm sitting in the parking lot writing this in absolute disbelief.
Losing 17 dollars may not seem like a lot but im a broke student and I won't be eating tonight because of this. Please do better

After walking in, we were immediately greeted and seated. There is a barcode on the table that we scanned to view the menu. They have a variety of dishes to choose from for everyone. We ordered the fried rice as an appetizer, and boy let me tell you, the fried rice is poppin… it’s very flavorful and delicious.
My daughter had a spicy bowl of Ramen, and I initially had a bowl of Curry Raman. The Curry Raman was very flavorful, but the broth was very thick like gravy. I really tried to like it, but I just couldn’t get over the texture after a few bites. I never like to make a big fuss when I dine out, but I just couldn’t eat it. Reluctantly, I asked our server if I could exchange my Curry Ramen for the Veggie Ramen. He was very kind and understanding about it. My Veggie Ramen was piping hot and on the table within 5-7 minutes. It had a very unique, earthly flavor to it. After a few bites, I couldn’t eat anymore of it. However, my daughter tasted it and loved it. She said she was going to take it and eat it for lunch the following day.
The restaurant was very clean and the decor was pretty awesome. I really felt transported to Japan while we sat and ate. Staff is excellent, responsive, friendly, and service is fast. My daughter absolutely loved this place and said this is her new hotspot.

I visited Ramen Hanabi on 3/24/2025 at 8:29 PM, just before their 8:30 PM cutoff for dine-in orders. Despite the restaurant being active with several seated patrons—some still awaiting their meals—I was informed that only takeout orders were being accepted. This policy seemed inconsistent, especially given the ongoing service to other diners.
Seeking clarification, I spoke with the manager, Youpen, expressing my feelings of being unfairly treated. Unfortunately, the response was silence, lacking any explanation or attempt to address my concerns. This interaction left me feeling undervalued as a customer.
To further understand the situation, I observed from my car after leaving and noted that other patrons were seated and served after my attempt to dine in. This observation reinforced my perception of inconsistent and possibly discriminatory service practices.
While Ramen Hanabi has received positive feedback for its food quality, with a 4.3 rating on TripAdvisor and a 3.8 rating on Yelp , my personal experience with their customer service was disappointing. Consistency and fairness are crucial in hospitality, and unfortunately, I did not experience that during my visit. Due to this encounter, I will not be returning to Ramen Hanabi.
