We went to Red Lobster in Denton-Texas restaurant for early dinner at around 4pm. I have been religiously dining at Red Lobster for over 25 years now and have visited their restaurants all over USA and even in the middle east as well. I must say that their food quality has always been a good experience. However, over the course of time, their over all quality of dining experience has significantly dropped.
When we entered the Denton branch, there built environment was screaming for help when it comes to air ventilation; there was stale smell in the air as if you are visiting an exhausted old building. Please dont assume that i am confusing sea food aroma with stale smell - no i am not - i am talking about fresh air circulation that is required for ventilation.
Additionally, the surface of the booth table we were assigned to was sticky (one of the first bell that rings for poor food handling and hygiene practices observed by the restaurant management.
My experience further went south as soon as i grabbed the salt and pepper shakers. Both shakers were slimy as u hold them, to the extent that i had to wipe my hands.
As a food critic, i understand the concept of using dim lights to enhance the ambiance; but it has to be methodic so that there is some indirect light making the dining environment comfortable. In our case, it was too dark for us, and the whole dining environment felt as if we are sitting in a closed cube.
I suggest this restaurant’s management to hire an interior designer to uplift the dining environment for the clients.
Last, I wanted to highlight the fact that I love the Red Lobster restaurants and I am sad that over the years this restaurant chain is struggling to manage the top standards it used to remarkably carry in the past; the above critique and suggestions are focused on our recent dining experience at Red Lobster...
Read moreDuring a recent family outing, we chose Red Lobster for a relaxed evening of great seafood, and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the scent of fresh seafood filling the air. While the food was excellent, the true highlight of our visit was the outstanding service provided by our server, Grant C.
Grant was, without a doubt, one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. His professionalism, attentiveness, and warm demeanor made our experience truly exceptional. He greeted our family with a friendly smile, ensured our drinks were always full, and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. He balanced efficiency with genuine hospitality, making us feel valued and welcome throughout the meal.
For my entrée, I opted for the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo (Grant strongly recommended it), and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the shrimp were plump and flavorful, and the rich, creamy Alfredo sauce tied everything together beautifully. Each bite was indulgent and satisfying, and I would highly recommend it to any seafood and pasta lover.
The rest of my family also thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and thanks to Grant’s excellent recommendations and attentiveness, we never had to wait long for anything. He ensured everything arrived promptly and to our satisfaction, making our dinner seamless and stress-free.
Overall, this Red Lobster visit was one to remember. The food was fantastic, but it was Grant’s exceptional service that made our experience truly special. If you’re dining at this location, I highly recommend asking for him—you won’t be disappointed! We will certainly be returning, and we hope to have the pleasure of being served by...
Read moreEvery time we visit this location, there is always something on the menu that is not available for one reason or another. It has become a joke among me and my friends to guess what items will not be available. I can not complain about the food items that they do have in stock. The food it always consistent. I cannot give the Service a 5 star review due to several contributing factors. There were 3 people in our party, 2 of us ordered the Ultimate Endless Shrimp, this time they did not have the 'Limited-time only' products, such as Shrimp Rangoon, and we were told that it has been discontinued.
This was our servers 1st or 2nd day to serve without a trainer shadowing her. The server could not physically bring out everyone's entrees at once, but said that it was plated and sitting on the counter. She delivered it about 4 minutes later. She should have had someone in the kitchen help her run the orders out to the table.
This location closes at 9pm. The server delivered another order of the endless shrimp at 8:35 ish and then disappeared without asking if we needed anything else. She returned at 8:42 to check on us, which was great, but when we tried to order any additional shrimp items, we were told that the kitchen was already closed. Then, she left and returned at about 8:50 and asked if we needed anything else, we asked for more tea, but were told that the tea had already been poured out for the night.
At 8:35 when she dropped off the last order of shrimp, why didn't she ask if we needing anything more and also warn us that the kitchen would be closing at 8:40, not 9 when the store closes? I hope this can be a training opportunity by the management once reading this to remind the newer servers that the store closes...
