Tucked away in a quaint corner of Denver, Bella Italia is a culinary journey that transports diners straight to the heart of Italy. From the moment you step foot inside, the warm ambiance and fragrant aromas hint at the delectable experience that awaits.
The appetizers at Bella Italia are a symphony of flavors that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The Bruschetta Al Pomodoro, adorned with juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, was a tantalizing burst of Mediterranean goodness. The Calamari Fritti, delicately fried to perfection and served with a zesty aioli, was a crispy and savory indulgence that left us wanting more. Each bite was a delightful exploration of Italian culinary artistry.
Amongst the many highlights of our visit, the standout feature was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Sofia. Her grace and charm added an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience. Sofia's genuine passion for Italian cuisine shone through as she expertly guided us through the menu, offering personalized recommendations that suited our palates. Attentive without being intrusive, she ensured our glasses were never empty and our plates were always cleared at just the right moment.
As we ventured into the main course, it became evident that Bella Italia's dedication to authenticity extended beyond the appetizers. The Truffle Risotto, a luxurious blend of creamy Arborio rice and aromatic truffle essence, was a heavenly experience for our taste buds. The handmade Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci, generously filled with a flavorful spinach and ricotta mixture, was a celebration of traditional Italian craftsmanship.
The inviting atmosphere of Bella Italia, complete with rustic brick walls and soft candlelight, perfectly complemented the culinary delights on offer. It felt as though we had been transported to a charming trattoria in the heart of Italy.
To complete our delightful evening, we indulged in some delectable desserts. The Tiramisu, with its delicate layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream, was a divine conclusion to our Italian feast.
In conclusion, Bella Italia is a true culinary gem in Denver, capturing the essence of Italy with each dish served. From the mouthwatering appetizers that awaken the senses to the outstanding service provided by the delightful Sofia, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. So, if you find yourself in Denver craving a taste of Italy, make your way to Bella Italia for a journey of flavors that will leave you dreaming of the Italian countryside....
Read moreAs far as the food is concerned, this is one of my favorite restaurants with a diverse menu that is a true Italian restaurant and not just a glorified pizza joint. They have pizza, salads, pasta and a robust and long list that will keep your meals diverse for a long time. The pizzas are good, better than most pizza places in town coming from New York City I would give the pies a 8.5 of 10 for pizza in this regional area nice crispy crust best in the area. The toppings are fresh and the pre-made specialty pies are great. I don't like the size choice. To go from 10in to 14in and leave there is an odd choice of sizes not really fitting a family's needs. And the price for these pies which border on personal size, well that brings me to my 3 star rating.
The main entrees are really great, the Chicken Piccata with lemon and capers is fantastic (usually) the last time the chicken was overcooked and tough, but the flavors were spot on as usual. But the portions, OMG the portions are pathetic. If it wasn't that bad it brings us to my main issue with this restaurant... Value/Price
Moving here from New York City I was shocked at the fact that while supermarket food prices are a fraction (40%) of the cost in NYC, the price at restaurants was higher???? This makes no sense at all since the rent is cheaper as are the ingredients and the taxes lower.. but I digress. In a city with high priced restaurants this one stands out in a BAD way.
10in pies almost $20, Tiramisu desert (small slice $12?????) entrees $25 ish for Chicken Parm????? The most painful part of this is the portions. The $25+ entree of Chicken Piccata had a SMALL portion of pasta, no vegetables etc, and one dry pounded thin half breast of chicken? The portions here are an insult to the cost of everything. I really would not have as much of a problem with 2 entrees and 2 pizzas costing $100 if the entrees were even NORMAL size, came with a salad or bread, and the pizzas were not tiny personal pizzas. Value for this place gives it 1 star with 5 stars for quality and thus my overall rating of 3 stars. I will continue to order on rare occasion while on a diet and when I get a...
Read moreEditing my review in response to the restaurant response. My issue is that the amount I was charged for a pick up order that I ordered OVER THE PHONE was more than the amount listed on your own website. I CALLED and placed an order which was wrong anyways because your worker did not listen or read back the order to me to ensure efficacy. If you’d taken the time to read my review fully you’d have understood the situation. I did not order delivery or through any 3rd party I ordered directly with your worker over the phone. Hence why I included a screen shot of the menu price which was $6 less than what I was actually charged.
The food here is pretty great but I find it very disappointing that the prices they list on their website do not reflect the actual prices they charge. While I understand the need to increase costs, your website should be updated as soon as the change takes affect. My other issue is the man taking the orders on the phone. He misheard what I wanted, didn’t read the order back to confirm and ended up overcharging me. When I questioned the cost at pick up we discovered that he had heard my order wrong and thus it was made incorrectly. I had to wait another half hour for my order to be remade and was not offered any sort of discount for the inconvenience. I am 7 months pregnant and had ordered my food to go as it was a day I was working multiple jobs and time was of the essence for me. Having to wait an additional 30 minutes for the food to be remade set the rest of my schedule behind for the day. This paired with the lack of transparency in pricing online deters me from wanting to come back. There’s plenty of other great Italian eateries that don’t charge as much and are more forthcoming with...
