It’s patio season! We headed to Blanchard Family Wines’ patio in Dairy Block for some wine tasting this past weekend & had a lovely time. We arrived at Blanchard and were seated at a table outside. The weather was gorgeous and we got to enjoy the spring flowers & Dairy Block’s lively alleyway. Founders, James & Shanna took great care of us & ensured our wine flights kept coming. James was incredibly knowledgeable on the wine and educated us on each kind we had. Our server Cassidy was attentive and made sure our waters stayed topped off. Our wine flight included the Blanc de Noir, Riesling, CO Red Blend, & the Cabernet Sauvignon. The Blanc de Noir was Blanchard Family Wines from Sonoma County. This was a traditional method sparkling constructed from Pinot Noir. The Blanc de Noir was lively on the tongue with flavors of in-season, zesty citrus. The Riesling was Blanchard Family Wines from Colorado. I am not a big Riesling fan and enjoyed this one - it wasn’t too sweet. The Riesling was medium-dry with a balanced acidity. The CO Red Blend was Blanchard Family Wines from Grand Valley. This red blend had alluring aromas of raspberry. This was my second favorite wine of the flight and is a new addition to Blanchard’s menu (make sure to try it out). The Cabernet Sauvignon was Blanchard Family Wines from Alexander Valley - this was my favorite. The Cab Sauv had a beautiful purplish red garnet in the glass. The taste was big and bold with a smooth finish. Ross enjoyed non-alcoholic tea that was really refreshing. For food we had Charcuterie, a Macaron flight, & Cake Pop flight. The Charcuterie was a chef's board with daily selections of local meats, cheeses, crackers, and accoutrements. The Macarons were seasonal & custom created by Bella Macarons. My favorite was the Lucky Charms macaron. This green macaron was sweet with a cereal inspired filling and went well with the sparkling Blanc de Noir. The Cake Pops were from Azucar Bakery and were an assortment of seasonal flavors. My favorite was the red velvet cake pop. It was dipped in white chocolate and tasted like a combination of chocolate and vanilla cake (cocoa with a slightly tart edge). This cake pop paired exceptionally well with the Cabernet Sauvignon - rich & decadent. Now that's how to do a Sunday funday!

A comfortable wine bar that’s particularly good for exploring new wines and grapes one may not have tried before. We went exploring local Colorado wines and were expertly guided by a family member. She was particularly well versed in local wines and put together custom flights for each of us. For instance my wife asked for fruit forward to sweet wines and got a tasty combination of white, rose and a red. Our wine-savvy guests from Japan asked for a white wine and a red wine flight respectively. I was driving and just had a dry local apple cider. Everyone was pleased and our guests bought bottles to bring back to Japan. They are adjacent to the Dairy Block, parking was simple, convenient and cheap. We wanted something more cozy and comfortable and this place is perfect. The interior is modern and reminds me of the wine country and the restrooms were impeccable!

I recently hosted a business event with Blanchard and it was one of the best venue experiences I have ever had. From the initial communication and tour to the final detail they are a well oiled machine. They made florals, catering, and drinks seamless, custom, and effortless on my part with their vendor recommendations. The day of staffing was impeccable. Every empty glass was managed, water always available, never a wait at the bar, friendly, polite, and speedy! All my guests commented on beautiful the space was and were particularly delighted by the valet parking that was arranged to make downtown on a Friday night an easy experience. I will certainly be coming back for my next luxury even.

My company hosted our holiday party at Blanchard Family Wines last month! James, Kayla, and the rest of the team executed our evening absolutely flawlessly.

They were accommodating and organized throughout the planning phase, taking in all of our team’s customizations and special requests. When it came time for the big day, the space looked amazing (decorations were tasteful and beautiful), the custom printed menus were a really nice touch, and the day-of staff were incredibly kind, professional, helpful, and efficient. They partnered with Foraged (restaurant next door) to provide us with a 4-course plated meal and the chef did an amazing job, not just with the food—but with the presentation, attention to detail, and timing. The food and wine/cider selections were absolutely delicious! And they even provided us with a beautiful assortment of "mocktails" for those not drinking alcohol. There was never an issue of anyone waiting on food or drink throughout the whole night, which was a feat with our big group!

We had so much feedback from our team about how amazing the night was, how delicious the food and wine were, and how much fun our progressive dinner (similar to speed dating) turned out to be.

I would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone looking to host a holiday party, a night out with girlfriends, or a simple date night with their partner. Location, quality, and novelty are met above and...

My husband and I were gifted a "date night package" from some dear friends of ours to visit Blanchards, in Denver, in the Milk Market area. We finally got to go tonight and absolutely LOVED it!! We had 2 flights of wine, (1 flight each, which we shared, just so we could experience all the different wines) - each with a different sparkling, white, rose and red wine, and a wonderful charcuterie board which featured some yummy cheeses, some meats, and several other items, all of which went great with the different wines. Our person was Alli, who was one of the sweetest people I've ever met! She was extremely knowledgeable about the various grapes, and the areas in which they were grown. So, not only did my husband and I enjoy pairing the different wines with the various foods from the charcuterie board, but we actually learned several things we didn't previously know (even though we are regular wine drinkers!)!! And, bonus - we got to take home our favorite bottle of wine, as a part of the date night package! I also bought another bottle that I really loved at an extremely reasonable price! Overall, we truly enjoyed our evening - one of the best dates nights we've had in awhile!! I highly recommend checking them out - totally worth the drive downtown, despite the awful...
