The National Ballpark Museum's collection of memorabilia and artifacts is pretty impressive. Unfortunately, my opinion of Bruce, the owner, is not.

The museum used to be open by appointment only, and Bruce acted like I was truly inconveniencing him when I arranged a tour for a friend’s birthday. My friend and I had a pleasant enough chat with Bruce about his memorabilia collection - and baseball in general - for most of the visit, but things took a strange turn when he paused to take a couple of calls on his cell phone and told us to feel free to finish looking around and show ourselves out when we were done.

Right as my friend and I were getting ready to leave, a group of passersby stepped inside to see if they could tour the museum. I politely informed them that the museum was available by reservation only. As they turned to leave, Bruce came running up and screamed at me for trying to let people in without an appointment. I tried to explain what was happening, but he waved me off dismissively and then acted like he was going back to a call on his cell phone to avoid further interaction. As much as I may appreciate the museum's collection, I will not be...

This was a fantastic little museum. I was worried about the price compared to the size of the museum, but it was worth every penny. This is a passionate, 4th generation Denver native whose love for baseball oozes out of every pore of the building and his being. This is his private collection, which he has graciously opened to the public. We showed up at a busy time in the morning just before a day game, and he let us know that if it was too crowded or if we felt to rushed and we wanted to have some more time to walk around, we could come back anytime that afternoon or the next day and didn’t need to worry about paying a new entrance fee or getting a stamp or anything. His only concern was making sure that we were able to gain a little more appreciation for the sport, no matter if we were new spectators or hard-core fans. Ask your questions, or share your experiences. Either way you will gain...

If you are a baseball fan, the National Ballpark Museum is an absolute must-see in Denver!

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to meet Bruce, the owner and collector behind this incredible museum. He is the sweetest, most knowledgeable man — truly a walking encyclopedia of baseball history! What made the experience unforgettable was not just the memorabilia , but the way Bruce brought it all to life. His passion shines through every story he tells, whether it’s about the classic ballparks, legendary players, or hidden gems of the game’s past.

Every corner of the museum is filled with treasures you won’t find anywhere else. You can feel the love and dedication Bruce has poured into building and preserving this collection, and it makes the whole visit feel personal and special.

If you’re in Denver, don’t miss this. It’s more than a museum — it’s like stepping into the heart and soul...

I think it would be good if you were into baseball. There is accessibility issues for sure, I would not recommend someone who is blind, wheelchair bound, or a very heavy person to come here. There is simply no room for a wheelchair, there are no audio guides for the blind and it would be difficult to navigate as a blind individual. There are also allot of smaller squeezes so if you are a very large individual you may feel cramped, claustrophobic, or simply have issues getting through parts of the museum. Overall I would say it’s a good option if you like baseball. But if you know nothing at all about baseball you probably won’t get anything out of it. Ideas: - make it a little bit more accessible - add a few more signs for people to read possibly explaining the history of baseball.

WHAT a museum!!!!!!!!! like wow!!!!. we went middle of the afternoon and to get in you do have to call a number but there was gentleman there who opened the door right away. the cost is 20 dollars for adults kids are free. so much memorabilia! bats and pictures, pendants and uniforms, turnstiles from stadiums long gone or renovated. its off blake street pretty close to coors field and definitely can not miss it. i never did catch the gentlemans names but they were both very knowledgable and hospitable both giving off a vibe of old world and very well versed in baseball history. these two you could see were the "sandlot" kids. the kids playing ball all day everyday trading cards and staying up to watch the game on tv. truly a gift to lodo.

MAGICAL! An absolute must for any baseball fan or historian. His personal collection is EXTRAORDINARY: - Rotunda light from Ebbets. - Seat from the Polo Grounds. - Arched window from Forbes. - Flag from Wrigley. - Light from Crosley (first night game). - Jimmy Fund Box from Fenway. - Nameplate from Griffith. - Turnstile from Sportsman's. - Sign from Shibe/Connie Mack. Bruce Hellerstein, the owner/curator, was working the door. Our conversation was incredible. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH.
