I and some of my art students went in here on our way to Robischon gallery. These are high school students who are all advance students in the National Art Honor Society, so they are very well behaved and smart about gallery etiquette. When we walked in I asked the woman behind the counter if she could tell us a little bit about the her gallery, her response was "We don't do school tours." I said that we don't want a tour, just a little bit of information. She said "All of the information is on the website" and handed me a business card. After I stood there in silence, she finally offered up a little bit of information. It was really obvious that she did not want us there and we left. Here is some advice that one of my art professors told me: "Don't ever discount anyone, the art world is a small one." Even though we did not buy anything today, my students (and I) will remember how you treated us. Young people are the future of art and they are vital because they are future customers of the arts. Fortunately Jennifer Doran at Robischon was really welcoming to us. I will never step foot in your gallery again and will let people I know how we were treated in...
Read moreI forgot to re-rate this place. Several years ago I originally gave it a 5 star review because it's a beautiful store. I had originally bought something for my mom when I was in Denver for her birthday or Christmas. Then the next year I ordered something off their webpage for Mother's Day. I ordered it two and a half weeks in advance so plenty of time for it to ship and be here on time. I didn't receive it for over 2 months after I ordered it and I only got one of my items with no explanation as to why it was late. Whenever I called to check on my order no one picked up the phone. And I never got an I'm sorry or anything via email or with the package which I think is completely unprofessional. I did get a refund for the item I didn't receive and that's it. Their website is atrocious and I will never order...
Read moreThe Mudhead Gallery was full of beautiful turquoise pieces and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The gallery has been there for 40+ years. We found some one of a kind pieces of jewelry dating back to the 1940s. Their selection was very wide, authentic vintage pieces, super friendly, went out of their way to show us pieces that weren’t on display and they have a great layaway policy if you want a piece but don’t want to pay for it all at once. Highly recommend a visit while in downtown...
